ggzilla
1. LZ20 engine 2. Watanabe wheels 3. Ratsun sticker 4. Call it good Quote Link to comment
Phirus
 Not Sure. 50 grand? shiiiiiiit The engine will be replaced with a Rolls Royce Allison turbine. All body parts replaced with carbon fiber, but keep original shape. It must be flat black, everything. Killer sound system. Mattress in the back, curtains on the windows. so... I still got 10 grand or so? Guess the rest will pay for the fuel, bitch better run on pure corn liquor.:D Quote Link to comment
benzo
as much as I like 510's or cars I would not spend too much on cars. I would rather keep the money and invest or use it toward owning a home. whoever has 50K for a 510 has either gots to be nuts or got a lot of money to burn. Quote Link to comment
Ecotec
Damnit guys i know this is totally insane but just go with it! I would have a twin turbo VG35 set-up with 17X12 rear wheels, full carbon fiber everything, electronics galore inside with heads up display and a computer screen for all gauges! Quote Link to comment
Weaver
RB26DETT racing suspension 24K gold plated mesh wheels (just 'cause I can) best quality paint job money can buy (dark red) killer sound system, not a crappy Bose or anything like that Other than that, I would keep the interior and exterior bone stock. Duke
Hartley V8 (2.6L, 400+ hp, basically two hayabusa's squished together) Semi tube chassis Dual A arm front suspension Something cool for the rear suspension (maybe miata, FD RX-7, maybe totally custom) Sparce interior, full cage, CF interior panels and dash Stock 2-door body, painted white CF body panels, painted white, chromed FG bumpers 15" mag Watanabe's My goal would be sub 1700lbs with 400+hp. I would keep the interior looking vintage racecar-ish. The exterior would be clean with nothing to crazy in terms of body mods (mostly just shaving misc things) and a really low ride height. 72240z
OR Buy this and swap everything over. You actually couldn't for 50 grand lol. Maybe we should up the imaginary budget? I would build a proper 510 for 10 grand and embezzle the other 40. Quote Link to comment

Icehouse
After Duke gets his done I want him to build my to the same specs (minimum 50k car I'm sure) because the second time everything turns out better :D Everything about his design is perfect IMO. Hartley V8 (2.6L, 400+ hp, basically two hayabusa's squished together)Semi tube chassis Dual A arm front suspension Something cool for the rear suspension (maybe miata, FD RX-7, maybe totally custom) Sparce interior, full cage, CF interior panels and dash Stock 2-door body, painted white CF body panels, painted white, chromed FG bumpers 15" mag Watanabe's My goal would be sub 1700lbs with 400+hp. Duke
50K on a 510 is ridiculous If I were stupid rich, I would spend 50K on a 510 in a heart beat. I guess it would be more like a race car chassis with a 510 body on it but still. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Years ago in the Carson / Inglewood area there was a Limo Conversion firm. To prove that they could convert anything, their showpiece was a stretched and pimped out 510 limo. Might be a starting point? Quote Link to comment
pineapple_express
ted lo's bluebird cost over 50k. hes selling it for close to 40k. does that count? Quote Link to comment
LAYEDOUTB2K
i would go the same direction my dad and i are building his 510 up to but go a little crazier like get the all the panels molded in CF, including roof and quarters. Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
I would do the same thing this guy did, make a mold of a 510 2dr and then have the entire shell built from carbon fiber, and set it on a tube frame. Quote Link to comment
