My opinion is that the Pertronix is a good set-up and if it`s working good now you won`t see any difference in installing a matchbox..I have been running a Pertronix in my old 55 ford for about 8 years and not any problems at all.My brother has had a P unit in his 510 for about 4 years,,, I also just installed a unit in my 510 about a month ago and works good.

Speaking of critically panned movies ,,Howard the Duck and Water world..... were both beat-up but i totally enjoyed them both....Of course they are unbelievable in every sense of the word, but if i wanted real life i would just stay home..

Just a couple to say thanks to the host and the cook.....I will post more in morning.

Have you tried dropping your pump and moving a tooth,,it only takes a few minutes..I had to move mine when i changed over to pertronixs ...I ran alot more initial advance with the points. As a last ditch thing ,,maybe also try mixing and matching weights and springs of different models.. Never done it on a electronic distributor ( only points type ) but im sure there is power to be found there..
