welcome!!! or should i say hi neighbor, im in somerset!!!! well you are now part of the super few and proud east coast ratsun members!!!!! we need more pics of that truck!!! what are your plans for it? since you live in ky, do you know where any 620's are? how about 510's in your area?
i dont think wire brushing that stuff was a good idea unless you plan on getting the block decked and new pistons, those small scratches left by the wheel arent so good for helping the headgasket to seal, probably should get the blocked machined now
looking great as usual rusty!!! keep up the good work!!! you are super inspiring man i cant wait untill we get our shop going so i can start on mine, i am slowly gathering pieces though, hey man in that picture of the orange parts truck i see one of those chrome tabs on the air vent!!!!
i know some of the guys have used the addco rear sway bar with much success, what did you pay and where di you get it, i can get one through keystone with my jobber price for like 156 bucks shipped, is that a good deal?
hey post some pics of your carbs at different angles, i have a set of 44mm i am working on, i gave soda blasting a thought, im curious as to how it turned out
talk to todd at wolf creek racing (google it), it sounds like you need a set of venturi gaskets, he should have them in stock, you can call him or email him, give him till monay or tuesday if you email him, he races on the weekends, he is very knowledgeable, good luck
just so you know there isnt anything wrong with rebuilind a carb that has parts from 3 diff carbs, hell a rebuild kit will be 19 99 plus say 5 bucks for carb cleaner and a brush and your done, hell its less than 50 bucks
anti seize is the best shit since sliced bread, i use it on everything, be careful though as it can cause inaccurate torque readings, good luck with those studs and yes the 2 nut trick works well, ive never used a stud puller i always use my nuts!!!
