Catching hell trying to source an 88mm gasket for this build. I can't find the gasket on nissanparts.cc or through the nismo sites. I've tried headgasket.com for a copper one and never had a reply. Waiting to see if I can get a reply from Clark. I've also contacted some builders for L-series engines and they say they modify a Z22 gasket and use the front portion of the L20b gasket. I really want to use that as a last resort because I'm not sure I trust myself modifying the gasket. I've seen it done in a thread on here, but I can't remember where.

Just toss the engine in and it's good to go. However such small wheels may not be so comfortable above 5mph :P

Aluminum would defeat the purpose of the glass imo, but if you feel confident that the bowl isn't leaking from anywhere else you could do that. I would do as redeye suggested an temporarily get some form of plexi/lexan so that you can still see the bowl level. However, I would also get a weber or good hitachi ASAP

Yea, $250-500 on ebay. I would hold on to it and make something similar. Then again that's like 30-60% of the price of my truck :P

Rust is an amazing form of weight reduction, till you decide to stop it... Really loving all of the 520/521s being built right now. Makes me hate my 620 even more. So what kind of modifications would that center console need to fit? It looks like it would be an easy piece to copy so I was thinking maybe make a template using that as the model. Either way that is a really bad ass console and fits the truck well.

Haha, I figured as much. Not gonna pay that price for a B210 anyway. Did leno do a special on those as well? :P The engine looks very clean, except for that lower radiator pipe... I agree with gg, it's off center. You should send it to me so I can fix it :ninja:

My L18 runs there as well. Replaced the 190 with a 185 and it stays in the middle. Always freaks me out cause I have the fan belt break once and almost hit the hot line really fast.

Lol, wifey said to get rid of my datsun, so I got rid of wifey :P If you decide to go through all those parts and find a B210 front bumper and fish plate grill, just slow boat them my way. Might take 2 months to get here, but it beats 400 for shipping... By thw way, that stagea is awesome. I'd love to have one of those over here. Looks like a really fun sleeper.
