  1. You could always slap the L back in... It made more power :fu:
  2. That picture just made me do a search for a 510 wagon across all southern CLs... Only one is in texas... Damn you west coasters to hell!

That might work Mike, but I think I'll modify it to filing the cards until I install the part. Found out I have two master cyclinders and 4 rear brake cylinders for the B210... Still unpacking boxes from the move.

      Smoke less of your product.

  4. Very nice wagon/van. Love the clean look you have and that interior makes me very jealous. Welcome from across the pond
  5. Yea, so over the FJ. Next motor man, let us all live our dreams through your truck :P

Just a head up on the x-member, the 510 x-member is a bolt in swap and has the L-series towers which tons have people have mounted KAs to. Not sure of the specifics, but datsunfreak clued me in on the 510 x-member when I was looking at a CA swap for my B210. The 200sx may be the same x-member as well, but the right 200sx is harder to find down here than a 510 x-member.
  7. Nah, we need many places to hide out when insomniacs goes down. Now that Minty is all locked up we're stuck with this guy :crying:
  8. Tanker in the 90s? In 521 news, Tanker is dropping an RB26 into the green machine. It's on the interwebs, it must be true.
  9. Yea, cause the truck really needs another engine... Just keep an eye out for an LZ head and buy it for me tanker. I'll go all guido for my next photo shoot... :fu:
  10. My red headed step child is getting some love. Bought a weber to get it running temporarily. Contacted Steve at Bogg Brother's to have an R1 manifold made. He didn't have the oval port design so we are using the 5 piece oval port flange design from the 1200 forums. Gotta work on fuel lines and installing the fuel tank this week, changing all the fluids, and getting rid of the old mildewed carpet. Hopefully the weather cooperates with me. The weber should be here Thursday but I'll need to clean it up, new jets, the A-series adapter, and a rebuild kit. I'll still need headers and an exhaust but after that point it'll all be just dialing it in and getting it road worthy. Thinking about purchasing an LM2 to help with tuning so I can use it on the car and the LZ22 once it's finished for the 620. I'll post pics of the R1 manifold as soon as it's finished if Steve doesn't mind sending pics before it ships. I'm still waiting on his response as to wether we will be adding vacuum ports on all the runners or if he has some other idea.
  11. Bogg Bros are cutting my oval port flange for the A15 R1 manifold Monday. Now if only I could find headers for less than $1k... Only ones I can find are on ebay from Japan. Tried Rebello and Kirk with no response, waiting on Mr. Zerkert as well.

I wish I knew what happened to the old A15 header I had. I sold it to someone years ago for $50

Wow, I wish you knew too :P The bad thing is you only find overly expensive true race headers or very expensive crap headers (bills shoppe)

Found some decent header options if they will ship. $500 but I'll gladly pay that over Bill's crap.

  12. I'm still partial to the LZ option. I've been tracking down a few leads for a true cross flow LZ head but nothing has turned up yet. It only makes sense that the guy with the FJ20 521 should have a true LZ 510 :P Either that or drop a VQ turbo and call it a day
  13. Thanks again guys, as always I'm worried for nothing. I just knew that the L18 had a shorter deck height than the L20 and didn't know where the difference was. Since the difference comes from the cylinder length and not the bottom of the block, it seems like I'll be able to re use most of the little bits from the bottom end to go into the L20 block.
  14. Farmer thanks again man. You're a great help. I dunno why everyone sayd you're a troll man. Now I can haz secrets to slamming my 620? :poke: Honestly though, thank all of you guys. I was sorta lost on what to do about the spindle since these engines are so rare in my area. Glad to see you can still get new ones.

I'll try it and see but datsun parts llc seems to use the same one for all L series engines.
  17. Thanks farmer, looks like I'm on the hunt for an L20 drive. Sorry I wasn't explaining very well, it's been a long day. My LZ is technically a stroked long rod L20B, just uses the Z22 crank.
  18. So the L18 drive is the correct length for the L20 block? I got slightly confused with your response, it's been a long day. Here's what I have. The L18 is the running engine in my truck. The L20 block is only the bottom cast section, no additional parts. Just need to know if I can transfer the L18 distributor drive gear onto the KA pump for the new LZ22.
  19. Alright, I'm wanting to use a KA pump for my LZ build. The information I've found shows that the drive for the KA pump is much longer that the L-series drive and that you need to swap the L drive onto the KA pump. So, does the L18 have the same length drive as the L20B? I'm pretty sure my L20 block doesn't have the oil pump so I'm trying to see if I can scavenge the shaft from my L18 once the LZ is ready.
  20. Alright, this week flat out sucked. My new schedule has me working Fri-Mon with Tues-Thurs off. Sounds good right? Until the sky decides to piss ice cicles at you for three days straight... On a good note, I got my refund for the fubared order from summit, my state and federal refunds, and my bi-weekly check. Big pimpin yo B) So, all that said and done, ordered my nismo head gasket, 2.3 duratec pistons (shit, that was a secret...) rings, arp studs (rod and head), got an oil pan for the L20, and a weber for the B210. Gotta order my KA oil pump and tear down the block to have everything measured before I get the bearings. Most of the large parts have been purchased, but I still need freeze plugs, a crank pulley, timing kit, bearings, gaskets, assembly lube, head dowels, and probably other shit I'm forgetting/don't know about just to finish the bottom end.
  21. Uh oh, sugar daddy me tanker! Corn rows lasted 2 days before they fell out. My hair's too straight for that :poop:
  22. Very, shoulda seen the other guy... The snot ring stays hidden most of the time. Hell, I forget I have it for weeks then decide I want to be strange and mess with people. Wear it out maybe 4 days a month. It really aggrevates people down here in the bible belt :P
  23. I don't want no black magic marriage for love bullshit spammer! Don;t you know ratsuners are broke fuckers?

  24. "Fuck this FJ, I'm getting a 510..." Damn hipster, you gonna sport your skinny jeans to Canby? :fu:
