  1. Short list? 280zx struts, new strut inserts, coil overs (datzenmike did a killer write up on modifying the struts). Depending on how low you'll need camber plates and RCAs. Replace all of the suspension bushings. Stiffer sway bars. Stronger srings in the rear. That's a decent street setup with some light trackability. If you want cheaper, don't worry about the sway bars and use generic (ie. civic) universal coilovers.
  2. When you keep telling everyone how crappy your dattos are cause there is one on craigslist and you hope no one buys it before payday
  3. You go throwing your cock off plate around and stop updating, what gives? Too busy with the other 4-6 datsuns to touch the B210?
  4. Needs moar v-tec yo... Just kidding, looks like a great daily driver. The purple looks good. I test drove one of these the other day and they aren't bad at all. Plenty of power and good room for a 6' 235lb guy. I'm just not sold on that or this steal I found on a 300zx... I know which would be more reliable, but at 25 I'm not sure I can make grown up decisions... You think the subbie would make the long trip to GA? You could really clear your mind then fill it with tons of cursing on the 5 day greyhound trip back home :P

    "The Keeper"

You guys are awesome. I've always wanted to learn body work and paint but never knew how much was involved. This just isn't something you learn from the community college. They are bondo slingers and take the quick way out. It's great to see another project started by you guys, can't wait to see the final product.
  6. Looking very nice. Great find on the panasports. You've been a pretty lucky dog lately. Very jealous of the 219 head.
  7. A question though, are you just wanting to lower your truck or do you need coilovers for a different reason? The cheapest way to lower these trucks would be to reindex the torsion bars. You can crank them down and reindex them and still have suspension travel. replace the front shocks with pinto shocks and shave/remove the bumpstops for a respectably low stance. Hell my old B2200 had the bars completely removed. It was bumpy, but it was slammed :P
  8. According to the 1200 wiki, most of the B210 parts on A14 equipped chassis are the same as the 610 for suspension. B210/510/610 are all pretty similar with just a few pieces being male vs female... Mostly I think those are the steering components though. Good luck restoring it. I'd shoot adam for his 610 if he lived closer. There's always Canby :ninja:
  9. Nice, make sure you look up push rod valve adjustments vs OHC adjustments. I can't remember the difference but the measurements are taken in different areas. Unless you like the bench bumpers, get with datsunfreak and he can lead you in the right direction for either composite or metal reproduction JDM bumpers. Seems like the 210 got lucky in that respect. Good luck with your build and keep searching for the B210. They are out there. My B210 sedan came from MS originally :P
  10. You have a 74 so you'll need to get beebani's coilover brakets for kingpin trucks. You'll also need a welder or someone who can weld in the brakets ($$$). Search for coilover and Beebani and the brackets should come up. He can probably tell you the exact coilovers that work best.
  11. I hear it's an LSx... :fu: BTW, this car was the first S130 to make me like the "newer" z's. I only liked the original 240-60-80s but you made this body style work.
  12. Woah what? Adam, are you catching my lazy bug man  Awesome job on the frame. I hope to do mine one day but honestly the one time I tried to take off the bed I almost went blind so that sum-bitch is staying there till I can cut the carrier bolts out. Then there is the previously mentioned lazy bug...
  13. Sadly these guys are correct for my area as well. The south east isn't really a big area for classic imports. However, we do have carburetor shops, pro street shops, exhaust and suspension place for classic muscle and custom rods. I'm definitely not a muscle car fan, but you can gain the valuable skills you need working on pretty much any classic car. Another great option are the body shops. People spend big bucks on american steel body work and if you can learn this trade it will be a huge skillset. Just remember you can't weld jtin like you can a 50s mercury :P
  14. Z22 crank pulley - $130 new from Nissan. Funny that the "little" things I forgot are adding up to the actual stroker parts for the LZ build...

Yea, the last super street I bought had a feature of a 260z, looked tits and mostly street tuner, then they pop the hood and its an LS2... Didn't even have anything done to is but dress up, still sporting the stock 350ish hp. It annoyed me because that car was so sweet and he ruined it imo, but to each their own I guess.

SAd, I'm just over that swap man that's all anyone wants to do take the easy way to hp instead of building a motor but like you said to each their own. It would be nice to see something different tho. I plan on swapping a v8 in an s13 when I acquire one BUT it will be a vh45 swap so i'm ok with that i'll still be keeping it in the nissan family is the only reason I want to do it besides it being a beastly motor :)

I want to do a Stroker VG33 swap on something. I can't decide if it will be one of my current dattos or a new project, but a VG stroked out to a 3.8 with a supercharger sure does sound like a blast.

  15. Woot, UPS guy just dropped off my long rods. still waiting on the crank and pistons but glad to see reconditioned long rods are still out there for a decent price. $40 each completely reconditioned

  16. RHD, custom roof rack, tear it down to the frame and chrome the everything possible. Help any?
  17. sell me your roof rack when you go jrock :)
  18. Honestly it would be awesome with the FJ and all. I'm sure you could get it done in a week or two if people stop stealing your bacon
  19. Awesome MrBig. glad to hear it all worked out :) The only thing you're missing is RHD now... But I'm sure that's next right? or still thinking about that LS7?

    My 72 521

I agree with tanker, but they would need a repaint for the mint :P Something about those eskies just doesn't seem to mesh. Maybe with jrock style lows, but who has time for all that :P
  21. But bro, I would totally love a bacon suit...

    LSD ????

Let us know how it turns out. Maybe even do a how to explaining the swap so that other aren't confused by the new style and they know what kind of performance to expect :)
  23. This may help, good luck: http://forums.nicoclub.com/ignition-setup-on-ka-carb-t147394.html
