If you want to pay two to three times the amount of money for a factory filter that is being made a compnay that makes other filters to the same specs,then go ahead.It makes ZERO sense,but it's your money.ANd if you are referring to the Ford Explorer problem,the issue was NOT FIRESTONE tires.THe valve issue is also moot.The logic of this post is even less than the last one.

Your logic is flawed.No car company makes filters.Some big name company is making them for them.And as far as the "But i had my oil changes done at your dealer"rant goes,it's a moot point because it doesn't matter.Per the law,car companies can NOT void a warrantee just because after market parts were used.

  17. Comparing modern boxes to 60's era Datsun ones?Come on guys.Staying IN the time frame,and if you don't mind shifting,the stick box is the best.
  18. A stock L20B with a 3.70 or 3.89 will be a pooch of a truck.You will NOT be able to use it as a "real" truck.Meaning it will not haul any weight.Acceleration will be unbelievably slow. :(
  19. Mixing brake systems isn't a good idea.Braking improvement with the 720 drums will be un-noticeable over the 620 drums.The diameter of the rear cylinders are matched to the front brakes & master cylinder.
  20. What motor is gonna be in front of the 3.70's/3.89's?
  21. Here in Tucson when it's below 50,i have to block half the radiator to get it to 180(which is the t-stat rating.And trust me, all is functioning as intended under the hood.Wether it's cold and blocked or warm and not blocked,the temp comes up to 180 and sits there like it should.
