What's the I.D. of the tubes? One thing to remember, the main reason the Z manifold runners curve toward the rear of the motor is so the TPS will clear the distributor.

    True.Pic your specs and build for it.FOr someone road racing a Dime-this isn't a good idea.But for a truck motor?Yup.

I designed it from the port velocity and low speed cylinder filling stand point. The motor is in a truck and the cam is all done by 5500 rpm.
  9. And you are speaking out of school. As to the car,the cowl, floors & trunk are gonna be swiss cheese.

Haven't gotten there yet.My z manifold will be cut down(duh).I will measure so the manifold will clear the boost&then some. But i will make the runners as long as i can.Keep in mind the Z manifold runners are 31mm(I.D) where the L-20b is 35 MM.
  11. The factory manifold you have is better than ANY header. For a street driven truck, the header will cost you HP.Getting rid of the EGR will gain you nothing. You are Emissions TESTING exempt-NOT exempt from having the SMOG gear on the vehicle.Plenty of good mufflers out there, however,Flowbastards aren't one of them.
  12. Now that you say it-it does. But the upper looks "fat".
  13. Anyone recognize this seat? Also, does it look "top heavy" to you?

I have a manifold a week or two or three from being done.I was of the "as close to the valve as you can group" for awhile.Upon further consultation,my "bung hole" will be about an inch up the runner to clear the flange bolt.Opinion is that the extra space will let the fuel atomize better as injectors don't do a good job of atomizing.
  15. Nobody is gonna sit for "production shenanigens".THe only thing that will make the price spike is if Israel bitch slaps Iran..again.
  16. And people ask me why i'm building a FI manifold.......
