  1. no doubt. It’s pricey! The other thing is they are one of the only remaining shops in town doing this work. They could charge whatever they want honestly. w53 is an efi head. I have the intake as well.
  2. Got the head back a while ago. Finally doing something with it. New seats, new cam, resurfaced the rocker arms, replaced springs and valves with good used. Skimmed the intake and bottom side. all in, around $700 I think.
  3. 1000lb rating. They had about 850 on them and taco'd. lol. I then replaced them with new ones, with additional wood support up top... and the castors failed. So... not 1000lb rated. I got a kick out of it.
  4. Bendpak or Rotary are the big names. Bendpak is probably the most expensive, but the quality is good. Rotary is good also, but I prefer the color scheme of the Bendak. There are a lot of cheaper options out there, likely made overseas. I'm sure the quality is fine.. but you know there are only two posts and four arms holding a vehicle weighing thousands of pounds above your head. I just ordered and received mine from Bendpak. All in, a pretty simple process. I emailed them, they send a quote. Free shipping to your door if you have the ability to unload. If not then you get into fees with the piggy back fork lifts, or lift gates which can be expensive. Another option is to ship to a local freight depot which is free. Then you can pickup from there. That's what I ended up doing. I'm sure Rotary does the same thing. Shipping time was about a week I think? Your mileage may vary depending on your location. Helpful tip, if you settle on a lift read the concrete specs carefully. I read the concrete specs in the install manual, poured a slab based on those specs. Turns out, there is a supplemental concrete spec guide for Bendpak.. which goes into much greater detail. I missed that, and now I get the opportunity to test my jackhammer skills while pouring a new footing. All lifts are different, so all specs are different. Just be sure you do your due diligence. If not sure, contact the manufacturer. Which is what I should have done.
  5. Rlc has been kind of a letdown. It used to be you would join the club.. limited memberships and you get the rlc car, badge etc. now it’s a free for all, which is good. The rlc membership is cheaper. But almost all releases aren’t even limited. I haven’t seen a numbered collection for a while. I guess that’s good if you want to get the car. But the. If it’s not limited or rare it’s just like… a $35 hotwheel. I dunno. Mixed feelings. I like the collector aspect of it and the rarity. But fucking sucks missing out to bots. Lol
  6. I’ve replaced with modern maxi fuses and it seemed to work just fine. Although you can still get fusible links from the parts store
  7. Was this the manager special coupon? I would think badlands is in the excluded list.
  8. I have this shift knob, in wood. Gonna swap my 60a 5speed transmission out to a 63a just to use it. The dumb things we do. cool designs by the way! I’ve been thinking of something similar. But maybe mounting to the seat mount. I know someone else was selling that style in metal.
  9. Got mine today. Same box.
  10. Slow progress.. but progress. Masked and painted the block. Looks patchy but it’s glare from still being wet. I got the head back from the shop. Needed to paint before they get bolted together. Pics of that later.
  11. Pnw, would probably be the lowest price market for parts. I’d say 200 or 300 picked up. Post in marketplace or craigslist and hope for the best.
  12. Rear windows are a lot more common than front.
  13. Yeah man... it's nuttier up there for sure. Things have calmed down here since 114 was struck down but they are getting ready to appeal it.
