@banzai510(hainz) thank you for the tips, yes sir pump full o oil. Couldn’t of done it without your video man. Still got a bit to go before it’s ready to fire…gotta hook up all the doodads and whutnaughts and all that fun stuff but man it feels good to get that motor off the stand!

Yep, adapter for the stock air cleaner. I had to shave some of the collar off the stock air cleaner clamp to get it to sit lower, but it clears ok.

Yeah I like my buckets for comfort but love the look of the bench. My seats are from a newer Volvo s40 so they are pretty swanky but also just look like plain black leather seats. Not too anachronistic. But the bench has that bench seat gravitas mmhmm. Especially a nice one like @andyZ00m here. Hard to find!

Super nice seat! How do you like the bench seat? I think you mentioned you are a giant, feel like you fit, kinda sorta? Thinking of going that route in my 521 but also need the leg room and lower seating position of the bucket. I understand the bench has you up kinda higher.

They are too big, in hindsight. But the ride sure is nice! 205/75 on 15’s. If I decide to lower it, I’ll have to change em. Maybe I’ll do the wheels up in white like yours, that’s a good lookin vehicle you got.

A little paint and a few pistons for good measure Spins nice and easy. Cam checks out ok. Rockers off to Delta for a refresh so, on pause til they come back. Pause? I mean painting the engine bay, fiddling with some seat hardware, and thinking about extending the exhaust so it doesn’t dump directly into the right rear brake drum.

@Rustbin after this rebuild she might be in the upper double digits for horsepower I mean she rips!

I guess the impression I got from machinist was that these rockers needed a lot more than a polishing?! Yep been using T4 per your advice I read couple years ago, will keep doing it. Not many miles on the truck since I’ve had it, always had good oil pressure, can’t speak to its past. Haha! Race car yep. Wish I knew what Hastings is up to with these gaps out of the box but here we are!

My machinist advised to ditch these rockers they looked bad enough. Prob looking at resurfaced oem rockers as I see available various spots online, not sure if anyone in town is experienced with them per se. Do I need to do anything to the cam? I’ll get it “looked at” for wear, at least. I know the advice is if you replace the cam to replace the rockers, but if replacing rockers…how does the cam feel about that?
