I was in the service when I was 19.  Despite what State or Country we were in, it was okay to buy liquor or beer and drink it on the base..

I could be wrong, (again) but didn't some states have have a legal age for beer and wine at 18 years old?

I grew up in MD..............but that same year, when we all turned 18, MD changed the law to 21, but if you were 18 BEFORE June 30, you were "grandfathered in" to be legal at 18 for beer & wine...........not liquor until 21.  I had a buddy with a birthday of July 3rd & another in July, who both MISSED the grandfather clause by DAYS!!!!  No matter, we had another buddy who made fake ID's.............this was before the hologram clear laminated ID's!!

Isn't Kamala's father Jamaican?????

Are you looking at a different map than me? Neither India nor Jamaica Identify as African as far as I know. Fact is she fucking sucked figuratively and literally in California and will suck shit as president but does it even matter anymore? In the end it won't make  fuckall difference when someone finally slaps the opt out button and turns the planet into a radioactive wasteland. But none of thats important what's important is we all tune in to watch drag queens get rewarded for beating up woman in the name of inclusiveness and equality. FTW

So she's British?

No she was born in the States so American. Doesn't matter the nationality of the parents, as far as this conversation goes, only the race is in question. 50% from Indian mother and 50% Jamaican father. Harris's Father's parents were 'Afro-Jamaicans' or predominantly of African decent and the largest ethnic group in Jamaica.

The take away from this is she is not fully Indian nor Jamaican but certainly has African roots. You need only look at any Jamaican to hazard an opinion as to where they came from.

Yes, grew up in Wisconsin, where at the time both Pabst and Schlitz were in the top 10 brewers in the country.  Also #1 state for Brandy consumption.  Alcohol is a lifestyle there and it was legal at 18 until NHTSA made highway funds contingent on upping it to 21.

I was never carded since I was 17, so never had a problem with the limit.  Changed after I was past 18 and those beyond were grandfathered in like TJ mentioned.

You may have missed the irony.  Here father and mother were likely both in their home countries when they were British subjects.

The point is- she changes and claims whatever is convenient based on the subgroup she is sucking up to at any moment (pun definitely intended).  As others noted above, she claimed with loud bravado to be the first Indian-America Senator, because of course there had already been black Senators, women Senators, and black women  Senators, so no novelty in any of those claims.

If she needed to be British for something, she'd claim it.  If she needed to pander to dope smokers she'd claim to be Jamaican.  Oh wait, she did that already.

If Harris' black father was born in Wisconsin, does that make him not black?  This is ethnicity you are discussing, not nationality.  Black is not a country, its genetics.  This whole discussion is weird.  If Harris tries to go for Trumps White Pride demographic by claiming to be White, then I see the discussion being more relevant.

White pride ? Just because "white" ? Being proud of being white is not allowed, it's racism. The question is what color is Kamala Harris ? She needs to make up her mind and stop using skin color or her genetics as a tool to manipulate people into voting for her. Imagine Trump telling everybody "I'm white you should vote for me"

She can define "woman" but doesn't want to upset her side with facts. She won't, not can't. And she's a Judge ? Pathetic.

Zackly. She can claim to be Indian or of African descent (black) or both from her parents and can do so when ever advantageous. Why not, it's true. Just how many black people are absolutely pure black anyway. Does it even matter?

She can't claim to be British as she is American, duh. Only her parents may have been British subjects or from the British commonwealth.

So I didn't watch but I did see a couple clips this morning.

Let me get this right, the Olympics gave out medals to men who beat up women to a live audience?

So if you get into a fight with your wife, make sure it is broadcast.

I got in trouble with tickets in my teens. Ended up with a warrant. The judge says 3 days of community service or 300 bucks. I chose community service. Big mistake, chopping weeds and brush on the side of the freeway. I did one day and went back to court and asked if I could pay the fine. I paid 200 bucks instead.

I worked for Habitat for Humanity, since I had construction experience. I had moved up to more administration in building and actually, wouldn't go so far as to say enjoyed it, but I did appreciate it. There is a calmness when your job responsibility is swinging a hammer, without budget, supervision, and scheduling worries. I still frequent their used materials for sale lot.

I think the problem is these lefties trying to drill the lie that minorities are victims therefore they should be given special treatment for it. The younger generations are eating this BS up. "I'm white therefore I'm automatically the bad guy or evil"."You're a minority so you're automatically a victim." This is a dangerous mind virus. If you think about it. Just like every other crazy lefty belief this actually does the opposite of helping those it is meant tob help.

If you're a minority you should be insulted by this. For a presidential candidate to try and use this victim mind virus to get votes is just sad.

Jimmy Carter was the president of my elementary years. Always believed him to be a nice man. He supported HFH for decades and seemed truly dedicated to helping folks. He was the sweater president with lust in his heart who was attacked by a bunny rabbit but I personally never thought he lost his dignity. Thank you for helping those folks too!

I appreciate the sentiment, but no thanks is needed, my help was court ordered.

If she claims to be black and later claims to be Indian she would be correct, but she is just 'working the crowd' and saying "Hey, I'm one of you so give me a like and vote for me." There is some truth in minorities being disadvantaged and that leads to being victimized but not on the scale espoused by lefty politicians. Just saying they are victims is a form of victimization. Well I'm not going to be victimized for being evil and white and I certainly don't apologize for an accident of birth. Truth be told I sure wouldn't want to be anything other than white.

Jimmy Carter is my favorite president. Unlike all the rest he seemed genuine. At least he strived to do good and the right thing even when circumstances were against him.

White people should be proud to be white. Most Republicans seem to be proud to be who they are. This whole anti-White anti-American movement is being pushed by the leftist elites to weaken/destroy America from the inside out. Noone is going fight or put their lives on the line for something they hate(America). Then on top of that you groom boys into believing it's toxic to be masculine and that they'll get even more lefty points if they turn gay or trans.

Edit: correction... just dawned on me. They're not trying to destroy America. They're pushing this nonsense on all countries. What they're doing is creating a world of weak, stupid, easily manipulated, sheep that can't fend for themselves and wouldn't dare resist against full gov/elitest control. They pretty much have it in the bag. They hit us where it counts, the young. They own the educational system. Their minions are already starting to disrupt the business world. They have these dumb kids/people begging for their rights to be taken from them and for us to become a socialist/ communist country.

It's a combination.  They need the US to be brought down because they don't like the individualism/freedom/success leading the way.  But I also agree the type of people who run the WEF and even the EU want all peoples/nations etc. brought to heel under their elite leadership.   They of course know what's better for you than you do.

Well I would agree somewhat but you two are a little too far off the reservation for me. The left does have those elements if you project it too far. You are saying that the left is going to cause a total destruction of America, the America that is a house that they are also in and are setting fire to and will be destroyed along with everyone else. There's no logic in that. Perhaps ask a lefty what they expect for the future with their (misguided) ideas. As for the young you actually have control of their education/beliefs if you don't forfeit that right.
