No. While alcohol contains some calories there is no sugar (unless added to the drink) nor can it convert to sugar. Alcohol contains no carbohydrates. The liver sees alcohol as a toxin and breaks it down and excretes it in urine. Some alcohol calories are absorbed, and given priority over carbs and fat, but the mechanism for this is quickly overloaded and most are not. Quote Link to comment
