"Loop" and "pile" carpets are both options. The steering wheel is a cheaper Grant. 2 Quote Link to comment

mainer311
Went and restored the jack since I had it out. Then reinstalled the rest of the interior. The PO had the bench reupholstered in this ugly fabric, so I may be having it redone to match the door cards this winter. 6 Quote Link to comment

mainer311
Do you guys know if the front brake shoe springs are the same as the rears? The fronts seem to be readily available, but the rears are not. Edited October 13, 2020 by mainer311 2 Quote Link to comment
mainer311
Redesigned and printed a new steering column tach mount with provisions to capture the large turn signal wiring bundle. Also put a visor on the top to keep the tach light from reflecting off of the windshield at night. Edited October 22, 2020 by mainer311 4 Quote Link to comment

mainer311
I’m now the proud new papa of a (seized) L20b short block. Now, before anyone scoffs at it, this shit is rare for us east coast guys. I’m sure more of you west coast guys have about 4 of these sitting around in your living room, but around here, parts are hard to come by. Drove up into the mountains to get. My plan is 86mm flat tops and a peanut head. Now who has a peanut head I can buy? Edited October 31, 2020 by mainer311 2 Quote Link to comment

Nice score.... flat tops and a peanut will be the perfect combo.... add a mild cam and you'll love it.... 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
That combo is 10.7 compression. 2 Quote Link to comment
d.p
Congrats. Did you just get the block? Nothing else? 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Actually 10.87 with 86mm bore. 2 Quote Link to comment

mainer311
I’m also looking into the “long rod 2.1” frankenmotor with Z22E pistons and Z20E rods, bored to 87mm. Looks like I can run an open chamber head with that combo. 2 Quote Link to comment
