  1. Well that I can not help you with.... Sorry
  2. That took me a minute to wrap my brain around it but I get what going on.... Seems backwards at first glance.... So do you have an issue or just wondering what the hell they were thinking....?
  3. 85 I have never known a relay to care if 86 or 85 is power or ground... just needs both to trigger .... The other 3.... 30, 87, 87a should be the larger wires going to and from the load and source.... I would definitely make sure the wiring is the correct gauge from the source to the load....
  4. And I just tried a relay with a 9volt battery and it triggered so 11v will work.
  5. And if you just done messing with the switch then the relay might be your best option... Try a standard 12v automotive relay.... 11v might be enough to trigger it.... Cant hurt to try at this point.. .
  6. Madkaw where are you getting the 11v reading? At the actual headlamp or coming off the switch directly? Reason I ask is because I'm thinking a possible ground issue.... Maybe turn them on and temporarily add an extra ground to the headlight and see if that helps or not...
  7. I was just looking to see if something like that existed but I wasn't sure if a relay triggered at 6volts would be able to carry the load of the headlights..... so I didnt want to suggest and add to his problems.....
  8. If hes only getting 11volts that might not even be enough to trigger the relay....
  9. Depends on your wallet.... a new pertronix unit would be the quickest, easiest and possibly the cheapest.... A matchbox distributor would be the next best thing... Do you still have a ballist resistor? And are you still using a points coil? Both need to be used with the pertronix... Pertronix only eliminates the points adjustment....
  10. You need to see how the red and white attached to the #86 pin is acting... My thought is its recieving a ground signal from the cab when the lights are activated. That would send ground to the relay pin #86 sending power from 30 to 87... Power to low beam... If the switch is activated for high beams the ground would be removed defaulting the relay back to connecting 30 to 87a, which would power the high beams....
  11. Well if the last thing is the pertronix my guess Is that could be your issue.... You should be able to remove the negative lead from the coil, which would be the trigger from the pertronix, then use a piece of wire from ground to the terminal on the coil to trigger the coil.... dont hold it just touch and release.... Make sure you have power on and put the spark plug in the wire going to the center of the distributor cap, make sure spark plug is touching ground too..... no need to crank engine just trying to verify spark... if you get a spark I'd say the pertronix has failed.....
  12. The biggest thing with the Weber is you want about 3 psi..... I used a low pressure high volumn pump from Carter p4070.... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crt-p4070 It's a rotary vain style.... You might need different fittings, it comes with 3/8 diameter outlets... Just check the diameter of your fuel line... I did have to use a pressure regulator because it was putting out about 6psi... https://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/12-804/10002/-1 There are 2 outlets so you could actually thread a pressure gauge into the 2nd outlet.... There are others similar and more expensive... I do find the regulator to buzz a little, I have been meaning to put a rubber insulator pad where it mounts..... I have been running this setup for about 3 years and 7500 miles with no issue...
  13. Jealous of the bed.... Definitely how it should have been done...

    Seat Belts

Another place to look is... https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/category/3-Point-Retractable-Seat-Belts.html Pretty sure I bought some for my 521 here about 3 years ago... they have been working fine....
  15. Ya that sucks.... glad your ok ... sorry got no advice on the body work.. my guess is your wallet would dictate what to do next... Goodluck
  16. I get tons of waves, honks, thumbs up and comments but they never ask to buy mine.... I wonder why..... actually I know why.... But I'd still never sell even if they asked....
  17. Funny thing happened I went to the post office this morning and when i came out there was an old couple checking out the datsun.... the women asked if her husband could take her picture with the truck... she couldn't believe how small it was ....
  18. I honestly dont know, I have had the felpro hanging around for a while.... I'll see if they are available for the next time.....
  19. Not sure if this matters if your getting the factory mount but I figured I'd answer ... but yes same spot.... If you go back to this idea let me know... I'll see if I can find the parts and glue I used....
  20. Try putting an ad in the want ads here... someone might have one... They do pop up on ebay every so often, but I haven't seen any lately and they were not cheap.. I had the same on my truck, I was missing the rearview..... I'm surprised the glued on one didnt work, ... I have had mine glued to my windshield for over 3 years with no issue...
  21. For some reason I decided to change the oil after work today .... I was trying to get the oil filter relocation done before I did but I'm at 7500 miles now and decided it should just change it.... Also changed the valve cover gasket, I ripped it last time I pulled the valve cover off to check my valve clearance....
  22. Shows I dont know much.... I have no idea who any of those names are.... Where they a special edition momo wheel ? I guess it's like 1000 shoes, but I just dont get it.... Or where they actually used by those guys? That I would understand....
  23. I guess that's good since the picture is of the knockoff 😁.....
  24. That's what I thought.... Everthing is a knockoff now a days.... Hub should be fine regardless, if I dont like the feel of the steering wheel I'll have an item for a Christmas present from my wife.... for $40 it should be fine to finish out the year driving.... has to be better than what I'm currently using..
