Thank you again Much more to come! 5 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Anyone else notice anything very strange about this L20B???????? ... well, other than the GM gaskets. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Yea, the case vent tube is wrong, but it appears to be an L20b as it has the 2 top bolts on the front cover, at least it looks like it does to me in that photo. 3 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You're the man wayno! Yup side block vent and it is an L20B. Never ever seen this before. Has the L16/18 cast iron header on it too. Must be a very early L20B casting. Has the water warmed/cooled intake also. It's a real odd duck. 3 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I assumed air pump on that. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I've been getting very intimate the last few days with an L16 block. That L20B above looks familiar but really odd at the same time. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
truck looks better with the stock wheels and caps 3 Quote Link to comment

Donedreamin
I liked how the truck looked with stock wheels and caps as well, but I like change and if I'm not happy with it I can always go back. Thanks for the kind words 2 Quote Link to comment
d.p
Yeah good job, how long you been working on it? 1 Quote Link to comment
Donedreamin
I have about two weeks into it, unfortunately I'm away for work till August. I have a week off at that time when I will finish it. Thank you btw 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Hit run sucks but you are definitely bringing it back. There are 2 people in AZ wanting J13 Carbs. I have one for one person but the other person is still looking. Be safe and enjoy your Datsuns. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I just think the stock wheels and cap makes the truck look older(antique) than making a old truck look newer with modern wheels. ESP 521 AND SOME 620S 1 Quote Link to comment
Donedreamin
I understand where your coming from, but I dont see your point. Are you telling me to stay with my current setup? 1 Quote Link to comment
Donedreamin
When I'm completely done I will take photos of both sets of rims/tires installed and gather a public consensus. Let me run with this, have faith and enjoy it, even if it's not how you would do it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Donedreamin
I do have one question perhaps someone may be able to help me with. I have a spare 280z 5-speed I am contemplating throwing in, I have done alot of research but am a little unclear on the driveshaft options I have. Am I able to frankenstein parts of the driveshaft off a 620 and 521 to make it work or is cutting and welding the only option besides a custom one? 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
620 front shaft. Quote Link to comment
