datzenmike
Yes! I was imagining aluminum ones turned on a lathe. (not skulls exactly) 1 Link to comment
tdaaj
If all the knobs were black anodized and the hazard was red, or even if they were paintable, i might be interested 2 Link to comment
mrbigtanker
If all the knobs were black anodized and the hazard was red, or even if they were paintable, i might be interested They will be hard anodized. and only the emergency will be red. 1 Link to comment

HOGIE
They will be hard anodized. and only the emergency will be red. Are colors other than black for the knobs besides the hazard switch an option? $12 a piece sounds good to me. So $60 without a cig lighter. 1 Link to comment
datzenmike
What the fuck are you talking about skulls? Matt mentioned them. in a joking way. The point is that we are trying to get quality, better-than-oem-but-styled-like-oem, replacement parts for originals that are old, plastic, & cracked/broken. We're not talking about billet chrome flaming skulls here... 2 Link to comment

HOGIE
Ah missed that. Black will do 2 Link to comment

So $60 without a cig lighter. So hang on for final total. When john figures out his time and how many orders. Also all orders will have a deposit or half up front to cover costs and him not getting stuck with them from flakes. If this goes well then we can look at other things like grab handles just as an example. Also back to colors anodizing is cheap and expensive meaning special colors he has to pay a minimum so if it's 1 it's 50.00 or if it's 100 it's 50.00. They charge him by the batch. So thinking keep black and just hazards in red. But other colors can be done but at your expense. Or he can set a raw price for the set and you do what you want. 3 Link to comment

Can we confirm that these will be pretty much exactly like the stock knobs in size & shape? 2 Link to comment

thisismatt
So...How does the cig lighter "knob" attach to the element? Link to comment
datzenmike
The N Am ones from back then just screwed on as the elements inside were universal. Link to comment
thisismatt
The knobs I have are with the same images as Ray's. Additionally, here is what I have for choke and cig lighter. They are from my 69 truck - can anyone verify if the choke image is the early or late style? Link to comment

mrbigtanker
So we have to stick to one style. And I think it will be 521 style. Link to comment
