The truck is a 1970 Datsun 521, 1600, 4 speed truck. The truck is being donated to Datsuns Northwest by Denmarkboy & Datslocos Datsun Club of California/Oregon/washigton TICKET INFO : 5 DOLLARS EACH . I will try to keep up with pictures , But every time i turn around some else cool happens , Such as : I was sitting down for the first time today posting pictures of the shift knob, and I heard a knock at the door .Opened the door to find Rick (rick-rat) at my door ! ! A huge Thank You to my buddy Dave Carter, his bro Steve and Rick for all the help today trying to get this all back together. I really, really appreciate Rick picking up these parts......and Rick....please thank your wife for being so patient!!!! Kingpins are fully greased......but the fulcrum pins still need grease. The grease gun I had grease for quit working and the other that was working ran out of grease(different size tubes) I think I got all of the "critical" stuff done.....the rest should be pretty straight forward.....install bearing races, pack bearings, install seals, blah, blah, blah. I'm proud to be a part of this build, but I'm also really glad all of this is out of my shop and into Al's hands!!!!! LOL!!! :) Thank you to every one donating help this weekend!!!! Looking forward to seeing the chassis rolling again. When I first looked at this pic, I thought it was a pic of my bench.......but it's way to clean!! :) 7 Quote Link to comment
