MikeRL411
Ok kids, start guessing About 20 or so years ago there were several "home build" kits for scale model [pilot capable, notRC] Messerschmidt BF109, Corsair and P51 replecas. I suspect that this is one of the Corsair kits that actually got built. 1 Quote Link to comment

MikeRL411
When did that happen!? Hope the plane wasn't heading towards the observer's stand! No, wait, that's not the Italian Demo [Demonstration. not Demolition] Team, so OK! [They flew/crashed into the audience on prior shows, so no pissy comments!] Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
I've seen similar Manga of "Girls and Tanks" on Japanese Domestic [and NHK International ] channels, but this is a WTF to me! 1 Quote Link to comment

I saw an article about this. It is meant to appeal to younger people of japan because the country has become a so passive. Military appeal. Throw some underglow on it and blast some Michael Jackson.. They will flock to it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
Very corsair looking. I suspect that this is one of the Corsair kits that actually got built. It was actually a program for storing military gear using different techniques. One of them was a Zipper cover idea. The whole aircraft was covered up and stored. It proved to be to cumbersome and costly to do and thus was rejected. 2 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Battleship row on Ford Island Pearl Harbor! There are remnants of the superstructure of the battle ship ARIZONA which were cut off at the sunken ships waterline stored there. As an aside, the Arizona's "liberty launch" was land side waiting for the crew members that had overnight liberty to return to the ship. It survived the attack and was used as a general purpose launch from that day on until the end of the war. It was sold as surplus at auction, moved to Lake Tahoe CA/NV and is still afloat at Crystal Cove Nevada taking tourists on cruses in the Southern end of Lake Tahoe. I took that cruise and was intrigued as how much it resembled FDR's launch on the Patomic, so looked at the registration papers posted on the launch. Sure as hell came up with the USS Arizona connection. 2 Quote Link to comment
