74datsun620 Posted June 23, 2015 Report Share Posted June 23, 2015 This is interesting. more info please.The Scat v4 can be a Chevy or Mopar 410 sprintcar block casting of the front half and the back half of the motor with there head, crank and camshaft. Some people used a better Dart head (cheap to use sprintcar parts) got cut and welded plus a cut block. The motor was so good it got outlawed! The off balance was hard on the bottom end so bearings didn't last long. The Sessco L4 with a sprintcar V8 head is my favorite! Quote Link to comment

A much beefier head gasket alignment, sad to say any replacements were one of the off the mill standard Chevy V8s. Quote Link to comment
