q-tip
My dad has a 5hp Briggs that used to run on alcohol, balanced blue printed with bigger cam and valves estimated at 20hp. Was once attached to a rototiller with a 4'wide set of tines on it, that thing could fuck up a yard real quick. Quote Link to comment
VFR800
What the heck is this? Looks like a car from the 80s with an engine from the 50s? Pretty much spot on. Car is a Holden VK Commodore (1984-85) with a 202 ci straight six engine which was the latter development of what was previously the 149 ci "grey motor" straight six engine used in Holdens from 1948 onwards. 1 Quote Link to comment

That's wild... ^_^ Here in the states, Jeep did something similar. Even up into the early 90s they were using engines designed in the 60s... Of course, so did Land Rover... Quote Link to comment

goes2fast
That and the fuel economy.....and people bitching that it's too loud or not smooth enough... They could have updated to pass emissions, and 22 to 24 mpg with 4.11s and 31 inch tires isn't bad milage. Both of mine are smooth also, an inline 6 is smoother than a V6, that's why the Vs have ballance shafts. Quote Link to comment

ratpatrol66
This reminds me of the time I stopped to visit my uncle. He had a Corvair engine sitting on a pallet. The old bastard starteds it up and it shook its self right onto the ground. He was laughing drunk on whiskey. Quote Link to comment
