a.d._510_n_ok
Why would anyone in their right mind stop in the median?????? in the dark???? partly in the fast lane???? and stand in front of it???? Oh yeah.... the Batman would. Mike, sometimes I think you're *THE* MOST cynical Canadian in the world. I believe you would enjoy denying same sex moose the right to marry but would allow them to own assault weapons just to watch 'em thin out the herd. on the days when you're especially mean I picture you encouraging Justin Bieber to donate to local sperm banks and telling him to run over geese on the drive to the donation center. 2 Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas, and talked with an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location. The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!" Reaching into his rear pants pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this fucking badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On any land !! No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear?.... do you understand?!!"The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs..... "Your badge, show him your fucking BADGE!!" 4 Quote Link to comment
paradime
Constitutional law, and statutes concerning the inspection of private property in the state of Texas support my assertion that this story is false. According to the fourth amendment, a badge does not grant an agent of the government the authority to go "wherever the fuck" he or she wants. The DEA agent in question would need a warrant to inspect the aforementioned ranchers private property. In the case of Cartrite vs the Department of Agriculture, the state of Texas upheld that the fourth amendment superseded this department's authority in cases not concerning Public Safety. I hereby move this story be stricken from the record, and that TENDRIL be sent before the bar for reprimand... Preferably, one with well lighted pool tables, and decent happy hour grub. Your honors, I rest my case. I’m so god damned bored! 1 Quote Link to comment

bananahamuck
BULL-shit Agreed,,,, because the rancher in this case already gave the federally recognized agent of the government the "okay" to search the property in question.. At which time he certainly gave up all rights to stipulate which part of the property could not be searched... But you probably already knew that 1 Quote Link to comment

paradime
BULL-shit Is that a legal term? Remember you're under oath. Quote Link to comment

But you probably already knew that Unless you represent the accused, you sir have no standing before this court. The legal point in this case is not wether the rancher gave the agent permission to inspect part of his property, but the DEA agent's statement that his badge gave him the right to go anywhere the fuck he wanted. If you understood the meaning of the fourth amandment you would know this. Go back to ambulance chasing in the truck porn thread you hack. Quote Link to comment
