Second what type of tranny is in this car. Panteras are known for being put together poorly from the factory. That one looks like it's lived a hard life on top of that. They use a ZF transaxle. ]2eDeYe
Shitty welds or not, I would still take one. Then I would clean it up and drive the shit out of it :D Part of the problem was the importation from what I remember. You had to put a US V8 in it to be legal, so you people hacking them up to get them through the import BS. (that's what I remember being told anyway) Quote Link to comment
difrangia
1938 Talbot-Lago I took these at an art-deco vehicle exhibit in Nashville TN couple weeks ago. Wanted to see one of the dozen or so that were built in France for the past 35 years. 1 Quote Link to comment

He wasn't asking about the second picture of the car or he would have said transaxle. He was asking about the first picture and wanted to know more about the Tranny sitting in it 1 Quote Link to comment

He (or more correctly, his "people") rented that car for the shoot, and as you may notice he's standing in front of Long Beach High, his alma mater. Although, unlike Snoop's wagon, that car has a VG30E/5spd in it. And is quite nice to drive. 1 Quote Link to comment

Silly part is that the album cover is black and white so you'd never know it was orange without this pic or the story Quote Link to comment
Tristin
First Porsche Ive truly liked... :o Looks like some production models have hit the streets... released on 9/18. Spotted: Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
The new Porsche's are just so big in person... Have you been next to the new Boxster? Overall it's a lot taller than the old models and just looks bloated. Those in the pictures^ look like they are the same, "over-sized". Pretty otherwise. Quote Link to comment

Overall it's a lot taller than the old models and just looks bloated. Those in the pictures^ look like they are the same, "over-sized". Pretty otherwise. They have been getting larger over the years. Classic 911s have so few features that they are like little VW Beetles (an obvious comparison) and as times change and power increases, safety features increase, and creature comforts increase... the same car thats always looked the same is just growing larger and larger. I would call this a larger Porsche as its completely different than other other model out there. I think its on par for current available cars. Smaller than most supercars out there. I think it just enough Porsche flavoring to show who its made by, but is different enough to stand out (and for me personally to like it, since Im not a Porsche fan). Plus you can hate on the numbers it produced. Quote Link to comment

Those numbers SUCK, bunch of rich assholes buying up porches with their leases and good credit trying to front like they bought all these expensive cars... Sons of bitches... :-) Quote Link to comment

Tristin
Damn it... I meant cant. I meant the 918 produces some great numbers with its hybrid power plant. Quote Link to comment
72240z
I know a lot of people are knocking hybrid sports cars but I think it makes sense. Full electric makes MORE sense but w/e lol Quote Link to comment

Plus you can hate on the numbers it produced. Back when Porsche used to be about sports cars the magazines would test a group of supercars and have a 911 in the test. I think Porsche had to step up to being a supercar because they where always being compared against them. This aint the movies and you don't want to keep showing up to a gun fight with just your marshal arts skills. 1 Quote Link to comment
