Z chopper
gonna leave the camper on? Quote Link to comment
Royal Sierra
Probably not. I'm gonna keep it, unless someone really wants it. but might only throw it on when I take it to Canby or Blue Lake. Its unique so I dont wanna get rid of it but at the same time its ugly. I'll see how it looks after I get my lowering kit on lol Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Isn't a camper pretty much a lowering kit just by putting on on the truck? Quote Link to comment
Royal Sierra
If it wasnt hollow, yes Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
clean up the camper shell and use it for sleeping in while at Canby, of course you gotta make sure it is sealed up right so that no more moisture can get in Quote Link to comment
plnfixr320
Here is the 521 we picked up a few months ago. It's my 14 year old sons first car. It will be a slow and most likely rather unpopular build after lurking on here for a bit. For the price it was a good buy, all the glass and trim was in the cab and is on a current non-op. 1 Quote Link to comment

I live 15 min away from the fairgrounds, if that. Quote Link to comment

Welcome to Ratsun! That 521 looks like one that was for sale with another one on craigs list awhile back. Quote Link to comment
plnfixr320
It came from Herald CA. Picked it up in January, watched it for sale for 3 months I think on another site. Not much more than a body and glass left of it. Quote Link to comment

uberkevin
I like how all of them have the rear window. And not the sliding window I have on mine.. Shit is ugly... But damn them trucks are nice! I also like how they all have their own look.. Quote Link to comment

I like the sliding rear window as you can open it in the summer for better air flow in the cab, unless of course you have a/c Quote Link to comment
wayno
I like rear slider windows, as mentioned it has a nice flow when open during the hot summer days. 2 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I just feel it adds an unwanted shape to the truck or something. I don't know. It is nice having in the summer. And this is sweet! [/quote 1 Quote Link to comment
Loren O
Yes I like all of these trucks. I really like the stripe on the maroon one. I think i've seen that same stripe on other 521's. Was it some kind of dealer or factory accessory? It would be nice to know about the different accessories like this that were available when these trucks were new. 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I was thinking the same thing... I've seen a few 521s now with that stripe. I like :) Quote Link to comment
Loren O
If I hadn't already bought a white "Datsun" rocker panel stripe set for my 521, I think I would do a stripe like this especially if it was a accessory from back in the day. Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
Im pretty sure the stripes and other options were done at the dealer. like A/C and the 'lil hustler' package.ive been debating on painting my truck but everyone says to keep the patina. Quote Link to comment
