datsunfreak
luke u might get some brake fade from the heat off that turbo....lol It usually causes the fluid to swell and the master to seize and drag the brakes. Which I'm sure you knew already. ^_^ Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
It usually causes the fluid to swell and the master to seize and drag the brakes. Which I'm sure you knew already. ^_^ blue lake 2013 ... dragging brakes and boiled fluid made my trip there very difficult for my 521 ...... all better now kinda but the 521 is in moth balls while i 510 1 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Once i move the resivors. There will be a thick heat shield fabricated hopefully that works 3 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Build a adapter plate for the firewall and the fight is over. FYI a '68-73 510 can donate a factory adapter plate. Nothing to make then. Quote Link to comment

jesusno2
Picked up a blue point/snap on flare tool hoping this one works! Got the master cylinder firewall adapter done gotta figure out a push rod for it now 1 Quote Link to comment
COOCHaDAMus
looking good. you prolly gonna have to stand on that brake to stop Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
you prolly gonna have to stand on that brake to stop I disagree. A 210 isn't really any heavier than a 510, and those do just fine with non-boosted brakes. Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
So havent been active much working alot but i did get the heart to this build. Now i got to figure out to use it Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
So im having a hell of a time with this water neck "swap" to use a single belt. I cant get it to clear under the throttle body i miter cut it and some extra aluminum tube but it still all collides. 2 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Thick spacer on the water outlet housing to move your pipe farther from the motor? Angled spacer tipping your throttle body upward at a steeper angle so it clears the pipe? Just spit balling. If it's any consolation, it looks really nice even if it didn't fit. :) 1 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Well while i wait for a belt from auto zone i got my down pipe all tacked together 1 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Im debating on moving my alternator to the drivers side just to clean up the normal alternator mounting position and cure the waterneck belt issue and i would like to mount my remote filter there. Quote Link to comment
CWhip
Will the heat from the turbo be an issue for the alt? Wiring? Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
It would be on the cold side of the turbo and plenty far away Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
So i messed around today with moving the ALT to the driverside of the engine. Looks like its gonna work, im going to use a KA ultima ALT, the tensioner tab is clocked more in my favor so i can build a adjustable tensioner 2 Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
I guess this thread might be better suited in the project section possibly Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Built a heat shield today still will need to take other precautionary measures to keep my MC cool but its a start. I'm thinking the gold heat reflective stuff, heat wrap, and possibly ceramic coating the downpipe as well 5 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Nice solution to spacial restrictions. Quote Link to comment
