Actually, no. That's a blown up legend made up by Studebaker fans. While it would indeed beat most stock hemi powered cars, it was not by the assload people claim. I mean, the lark actually ran high 12 in stock trim, like 12.95 or something in the range, which is pretty darn good. I think they only made like 10 of them. So if a guy compared it to low run, factory fast cars, like say the thunderbolt, it would have it's lunch money taken away. But still, WAY cooler than any big three as far as I am concerned.

Some cool cars I have seen over the past couple of weeks at the Autozone I work at.

A 1973 Ford Capri, no, not a Mercury. This was a European import. All original and a 2 owner. Owner wanted and got an Optima battery.

A Nissan 280 ZX. Fully restored and beautiful. Got some ceramic brake pads and a thermostat.

I usually don't care for jacked up trucks, but this thing was bad ass! 48" military tires, 1 ton axles and suspension.

The Capri is a very nice looking car. Would like to have one.

in a past life I was a MOPAR guy (mostly slant sixes) and still have some friends in the Cult of the Pentastar. One of them recently dragged this Satellite out from under a shed where it had rested for 30+ years. Never seen a Satellite with the "Plymouth" decal on the rear quarters but in the muscle-car era MOPAR would do any thing for cash so who knows.....this was a bench seat car but the new owner swapped in some Vega high back buckets. just a former 318 car btw.
