GRpufnstuf
It must have been upset about the Citroen getting your attention...;) Quote Link to comment
Aibast
I'll be driving it to my summer house this coming weekend, need to hall home pumpkings, lawnmover and some potatos. So it will have a full load. To and from. If it would have been empty I'v taken the gravel roads there, for just a fun of it. But with a load you can't slide this thing around corners :P There isn't enough power to just spin the wheels and added weight gives lots of traction. With an emptry truck just do a "scandinavian flick" and just enjoy going sideways. With a full load it's hard to controll as the there is to much weight in the back. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavian_flick Quote Link to comment
Aibast
in the weekend went to my motherinlaw's place and there went to do some shroom picking. This is the woods - nice young pine tree forrest. Lots of chanterelles. car used to drive in the woods - who says you can't drive a low sports wagon in the woods on sandy roads. Quote Link to comment

wayno
well my Datsun truck is going to Police prefecture for the weekend. My codriver needs to borrow the truck to get to work B) I have no idea what this means, do you have to have it inspected so your friend/codriver can drive it? Quote Link to comment
Aibast
in here by traffic law you as the owner must know how who is driving your car. so I can lend my car to anyone I like as long as I can give info on who is driving it. And my friend/codriver workd for local traffic police and needed a car for few days. so I'm lending it to him. It's a bit strange to see rally car parked with lots of police cars  Quote Link to comment

Aibast
That would be lots of fun. Finaly managed to find some M+S studed tyres for my 15" steel rims. It's going to get cold soon in here and I'm planning on driving my truck this winter. FWD Volvo isn't as much fun and RWD in snow. Quote Link to comment
Aibast
the truck is back and drove it to work today - need to do a little transport job. Just 100kg thing this time. Quote Link to comment

So the police officer didn't take it to the demolition derby, you got it back in one piece/unharmed? Quote Link to comment
Aibast
it was all in one piece and just as I gave her. Did a little search on the net and found a picture of my first car - old and busted Mazda 626 Quote Link to comment
Aibast
found a RWD Nissan Serena van in here for little money ( rolled over ) - 1.6L 16v engine + 5speed. Looking into that. Swaping some tech from 93 car to 79 car would be a nice challenge. 1 Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
Do it! What year is it? Is it an SR16DE? Quote Link to comment
Aibast
Its 96, first need to get some info on the car then look what to do. Update - got some info - the engine runs smooth and the box is ok. The engine type is GA16DE. Should be better than the original J15. Well got another 620 today. Was so hyped up when I found it  From new Matchbox series. Quote Link to comment
Aibast
well did some calculations and the engine transplant costs just way to much. So I'll be doing some repairs on the J15 and finaly go to carb guy for carb adjustment/rejetting. Quote Link to comment
Aibast
got the rims and tyres on. old 185/80/R14C studless M+S on the left, new 205/65/R15 studed M+S on the right before after These almost fit, had to roll the rear fenders. The replacement someone had welded on had a wide lip on the inside. So iron tube and little rolling did the job. No more rubbing on the rear tyres. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
That is one cool truck! Quote Link to comment
Aibast
the truck now drives better. The skinni, soft and high tyres just made the car search for the road and I had to steer it all the time. Now lower and harder tyres just roll - I love it. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Soooo, it's an upgrade, it looks better with the wider tires. :) Quote Link to comment
Aibast
now just sitting and waiting for snow. Quote Link to comment
wayno
It looks like you have 3 different types of rims, sometimes it looks to have stock 620 rims, other times they look like 720 rims, and now you have chrome rims from something else, which look the best at this time. Do you have the 620 hubcaps for your 620 rims? Quote Link to comment
wayno
now just sitting and waiting for snow. I don't like snow, people around here don't know how to drive when it's snowing. :) Quote Link to comment
Aibast
I love it. With a RWD its so much fun. Here is a vid of what the side roads look like in here in the winter tu´ime. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7-adfnMDBg Quote Link to comment
