Doug do you like the 195's or would you go wider if you had to do it again?

I do like the 195. It gives it that stretch look. I f you dont like that look thgen prolly 215 or 225's would be better.

Fix it, drive it....sell it. The current plan is to drive it to Canby, if I can get it together in time. I already registered so now I'm under the gun :D

The motor for it is my avatar

True  You should just go with stock L motor if you want it done by Canby. Keep it simple dude.

I am just glad to see it out of the storage Steve, I know you will have it up and going by Canby,,,In fact I make a deal with you. I need a little fire under my fat ass, so I will get my Chop top and running. Then we can cruise down together. If I dont get it going then I will pay your gas down to canby...and vice/versa. I know it isnt much but it a little motivation...!!!

O.k well here it is. 1977 620.

Bucket.jpg

She is going to go a green primer. I need to do alittle body work on her first. It has a L20 with a bad head in it now. On the stand I ahve a L18 that I have dismantled and am resealing up for a runner. She will get the L20 back in when I am done with the rebuild. The truck is pretty straight.

THINGS I HAVE DONE

* Fixed the outer door handles so they work.

* Picked up some seats from Pick and Pull

Newseats.jpg

* Tore down and cleaned up the L18 polished and painted up some parts. Waiting on the gasket kit and the head to get fixed.

* Fixed the center support bearing bushing.

centersupportbearingbushing.jpg

* Found some polly bushings to go in the rear shackles and leaf springs. Just need to size them and add the greasable bolts.

* Packed the front bearings and adjusted front and rear brakes.

The list of to do's is long but will be tackled one at a time.

Thanks Kevin cool.gif

AFTER!

Where's the after? I want to see the after to give me motivation. Just picked up an '83 and in about the same condition, except yours looks a little cleaner and less rust.
