ggzilla
In Japan they had two cars at the same time: * Japan-market Datsun Sunny 1200 * Japan-market Nissan Cherry 1200 But they didn't see a market in USA for the FWD car at first ... until 1976 when they brought the 2nd-gen Cherry F-II over here and sold it as the Datsun F10. datsunaholic
We had some of them here. A Datsun Cherry was just called the F10 (then the 310, then the Pulsar) here in the US. We didn't get the first generation (E10). Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
We had the ones in the bottom picture (except the 4-door) in the US. And my '83 310 is a "N10 Cherry" if it wasn't sold here. And yes, it's red. I need to get up to the Lynwood Pick n Pull, they may have the manifold I need to get mine running... Quote Link to comment

Will
That was my car!! I had two of these - a '74 and a '75, both "estate cars" (station wagons) Super small and lightweight, and the rack-and-pinion steering made them fun to drive. Yup there was one for sale in the US. In RI actually. Here is the link to the thread about it from 2009, but it is kinda a useless thread soonly click if you have nothing better to do this evening. :P My link Quote Link to comment
