datrod
Cause i didnt want green  & i was out of green. O.K. That sounds like a good reason. Might make a nice contrast with the blue. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Update time. Replaced the PS outer wheel bearing recently & replaced the fuel pump gasket + cleaned up the oil that leaked all over the block & firewall... Then made a quicky center console. The top will be hinged & I'll carpet it next week...& oh yeah now my coffee wont tip over :D Quote Link to comment

scottrosenberg
after selling my 1971 2-door 20+ years ago, I just purchased a 1971 "GREEN" stock wagon also. Out of the Sacramento area. Looks pretty close to yours. scott.rosenberg@sbcglobal.net Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Ok getting ready to slap on a different set of rims this week [ 5 sets to choose from:D]. Gonna run the fake centerlines [13 x 5] i got from Mario [71 dimer]. Did a really quick wet sand job so they dont look too dingy... also did a quicky clean up & paint job on the caps... before... sanded... & painted... how they look. I know a bit different but its better than rust... Hoping i can use the same lugs that are on the Libres...;) Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Changed out the rims today, not much life in the Libre tires. 3 out of the 4 were in bad shape. The Centerline look-a-likes cleaned up ok & will do for awhile... Quote Link to comment
dat521kid
looks good but i vote for the libres :D Quote Link to comment
inline4
I kinda like the wheels on the wagon. off the car it kind of looks questionable, but mounted it doesn't look that bad. Quote Link to comment
71DIMER
They look sharp Mark...glad to see you finally rolling on them. :) Quote Link to comment

Pacific coast Datsun
Ok Mr t effect is deff. gona & TY mario for the catch phrase :D Picked up a Grant wheel from Robert [dat521kid] & put it on after cleaning it up... before.. & after. I took a small sanding disc on my drill & made a series of swirls then cleared it. The allens are green, of course ;). TY Robert, it cleaned up nice. & I test fit 1 of the ZX 6 spokes the other day...cant wait to get tires for them... Quote Link to comment

Pacific coast Datsun
Ok decided to go with a used set of 185-60-14's on the ZX rims. Tread is ok & should last awhile.... no rubbing issues... This is the lugs i used w/ a washer ... Thread is 12 x 1.25...... this is the lugs i use on the Libres & solid rims... & this is the factory alloy lugs i wanted to use. Strangely enough only a few fit down into the ZX rim lug pockets  Will test drive it later to make sure i get no wheel wobble. Quote Link to comment
sdsurf
looks good, Mark!!! Quote Link to comment
benzo
I really like the work you did on the zx wheels. it makes the wagon look a lot better and I am sure they handle nice. I have a set of zx wheels for sale and now I am thinking should I keep them just for kicks Quote Link to comment
motavated
My fat ass digs that cup holder I tell you what. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Thanks guys. Drove it around a bit w/ no wobbles or shakes. In a few days ill re-tighten the lugs if needed. Benzo- id hold on to your ZX's..with a bit of wet sanding & polishing anything is possible. Motivated- yeah the cup holder rocks & is very low tech..holds my coffee perfect  Quote Link to comment
