Jester
Came up with this after a good nights sleep, should work well. Today I get to start building it. :) The cables are 4 ft long, so I should be able to mount it just about anywhere. Really curious to see this mounted. Looking good man! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Me too  Quote Link to comment
Jester
Would be cool as hell to have it mounted under the front half of the console. Have the levers come up through the top, close to the dash for street trips, and pull them down to get serious. For that you may have to move your cable attachment to the top side of the fulcrum. ]2eDeYe
I'd like them to be right at the front of the pad on the center console just behind the shifter. If I can thread the shifter between the cables it just might work. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Is this something that you are going make a kit of and sell? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Are the cabled push/pull or are you going to use some kind of spring to get the shifters in the transfer case to go back in? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Is this something that you are going make a kit of and sell? The companies that sell cable shifters don't even offer one for the Dana 20, I have to assume the market is not there. I might build a setup for individuals if there was interest, but this is for me. :) Are the cabled push/pull or are you going to use some kind of spring to get the shifters in the transfer case to go back in? The cables are push/pull and are rated at 130lbs push/170lbs pull. They are the same style cables used in available transfer case cable shift kits that I've been researching. http://www.mcmaster.com/#push/pull-control-cable/=uu1tg1 1338K21 I am picking up the levers today after work and might get the box tacked together today as well. Then I'll be able to see about where I can locate it in the cab. Tomorrow I'm hoping my drive shafts will be ready, if so I will be picking them up as well as new shocks and a new kevlar rear brake line to go from the frame to the axle. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Forgot to add pictures :P Cut the lever tabs, will be welding the actual lever to the top of the tab. Here is the box together, still need to do a bit of fitment work before welding it up. Oh, and we got a little bit of snow, so a bit of playtime with the kiddo was in order. :) 2 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
 Still cold here....brrrrr So it turns out I need to redesign the shifter to fit my cab. Good thing I like making stuff...more on that some other day. Got some parts to install first. Picked up a new slave cylinder, need to get some new bolts. Pimp stainless line from hosestop. Picked up a new brake line for the rear to match the fronts. Got 4 new shocks as well. Swap out the fronts. Need drive shafts now so I can measure the rear flexed out. Hoping I can do something simple like so, but I doubt it. Will work on the shifter issue next. 3 Quote Link to comment
