Hahaha
I thought it may be another way of proving TDC!
Okay.
Should, I rinse the internals of the blocks one more time?
I am about the glue the dip stick tube in.
I made a pipe expander using a pencil and a drywall screw!

I drained the oil out of the other engine.
So I can start prepping the oil pan.
And move the Sump tube to the newer engine.

Is there anything I should be looking at at this time?
My goal is not to move the crank until the block has 4 quarts in it.

add a washer.

What you can do is when everything is ready fill with oil, drop the oil pump and spindle. Put the oil pump back in without it. Get a piece of round metal bar about 1/4" and hammer one end flat like a screwdriver blade. Insert down the distributor hole and use an electric drill to spin it counter clockwise. Oil will be pushed through the oil filter and all the galleries and pre fill them with oil. You'll hear gurgling and oil will drool out the cam lobes.

Update:
I bought some parts today.
They won't be here for awhile!

I couldn't acquire, another engine back plate.
I am going to use the back plate from the L18.

Question:
Is there a 240mm flywheel that has 6 bolts?
I found this in another thread.
Since I have a brand new clutch kit.
I would like to use it.
It is 240mm.
What do you guys suggest, i do?

All 720 Z24 and Z20 truck and KA24E and DE truck engines used the 240mm clutch/PP/flywheel. The PP and flywheel have 9 mounting bolts.

If you go with a 240mm flywheel you can use a 280zx turbo, 300zx turbo clutch and pressure plate, but this is a bit extreme. You will also need to select the proper release bearing housing to compliment your PP selection.

That pulley is nice because it's A- removable with 6 bolts, and B- it has a built in damper, and C- there are a few different pulley combinations that bolt to it.

But for a 510, I don't think any of those pulleys would line up with L 510 accessory pulleys. Am I right or wrong. It's been a while.

Should, I save it for someone in the future?
I hate to throw away stuff that is in nice shape.
I can see I will have a box of parts I have acquired on the past 12 years.
Like the clutch kit, for a 240mm flywheel!
What do you suggest, I should do with these parts?
I will save them, for now.

Today, I closed up the engine!
I placed 4 quarts of oil in it.
I am going to let it sit for the rest of the day!
I am going to the Formula E.
I have driven my car on this track once.
It today they will be hitting 200mph with electric.
Sure has come a long way since the White Zombie.
Anyway!

Tomorrow, I will put the new oil filter on and then try an cycle the oil so it flows thru the engine and wet all bearings and mating points!
