chester
well it isnt old to say but when I put them in it didnt feel right but I went ahead with it anyway then with my truck being lowered kind of sent it on its way  Quote Link to comment
izzo
haha! the pinto shocks aren't to much shorter, really. an inch or something. i went with those in my 720. Slammed it down, removed bump stops. Frame was touching the TC rods! Never had issues with it. fuckit, right? Quote Link to comment
chester
what year pinto I will have to pick some up. yeah I cant go any lower in front the shocks are bottom out I am trying to get time to raise the shock mounts and I am thinking about putting 3 inch blocks back in Quote Link to comment
izzo
70's pinto shocks, think they are all the same really Monroe part 32118. it does require you take that round metal tube out of the bottom of the bushing. kind of a pita, but not to bad. chester
Since I am slowly going through my suspension I finally replaced my leaf spring bushings. So since I have 84 720 4x4 leafs and using the shackles too I figured I would be able to use the energy suspension bushings for it. I slacked on getting oics of doing it but they went right in without a problem. The only concern I had was if they would work with the bolts up front and go into where the shackle goes to the frame. collision and customs
on the drums you dont need any mill work, and on the beebani conversion you dont need any miill work either, just a 1/4" spacer. the spacers are around 20$ I would'nt use spacers on the front. They already stick out far enough that you need to roll or pull out the fenders. Quote Link to comment
chester
Updates?! What are those? there hasn't been to much. just waiting till the weather gets better so I can get the body work going and hopefully get the ka in. I just don't know what I will get down for canby. chester
so the last couple day I've had to drive the 620 cause the pathfinder broke down. I can say I miss driving the 620. I love how hard it pulls, even with the bottom end need to be rebuilt. Tonight on the way home it pulled like no other to 75. I miss driving it everyday. I can say that I am afraid to put the ka in cause I already have a heavy foot. Quote Link to comment
k-autic
How do they ride? Prettt bumpy still or smooth??? Quote Link to comment

chester
Not to much to update, but I did get a tranny from a 85 720 for my ka swap today. I am pretty sure it will be a straight bolt in. If not it wasnt the spendy. time for oics. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Did you get a shifter for it chet? The 620 one may not be long enough because that one has the holes for the cross pin a little higher than the truck one. Be sure to change the $5 rear seal now and not on the way to Canby. Only takes 2 min. Quote Link to comment
chester
I did and I already have the same shifter in my truck so I have two and will do. I dont want to have any problems this year Quote Link to comment

chester
here are the oics of today. The brakes locked up and I slid into a cattle trailer. Nothing happened to the trailer besides some red paint on it. The good news is I have another 77 king cab lined up that I should be getting in the next couple days. Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Dang! Did you have disc brakes on that? If not, might be the first upgrade to do on the new truck. You get your KA yet? (I skipped pages to get the story on the smashy :P) Quote Link to comment
