Titan wheels on 620 questions

Recommended Posts

I have a 74 620 and 18" Titan wheels to put on it. I read the FAQ and I have seen 215/40, 225/40, 225/45 tires mentioned in old posts. I have 3" blocks and the torsions turned down so the truck is level, will 225/40/18s fit on that set up with the fenders rolled? The wheels are machined so I am not using any spacers and the truck still has drums all around. Any more info about tire sizes and amount of lowering from anyone running these wheels appreciated..

Thanks,

Erik in Portland

Finally bought the tires for the Titan wheels and put them on today. I bought 225/40/18 General UHP tires (made by Continental), $93 each at Americas Tire. They fit easily. I machined all 4 wheels and used no spacers, I have a 74 with drums all around. I think taller tires would be no problem, maybe a little wider but not much. I have 3" blocks in the rear, I am going to lower the front more tomorrow. Wheels will end up painted black soon. Enjoy!

Did you rout the wheel or use a spacer?
