motavated
Common man, cheer up. Think about it like this. After she graduates and she gets a nice job. She can buy you all the Datsun parts you want! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Do what I did, skip college. Instead I drove Datsuns, worked on cars and now am stuck in a high-paying corporate computer job. Sigh. Quote Link to comment

I hear if you marry one, that feeling of longing and wishing they were near goes away . Hang in there dude, and just be thankful for the time you have to do whatever, whenever without interference. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes hang in there. I didn't mean to discourage anyone from finishing college. It will give you more choices. Quote Link to comment

freekwonder
Yeah... I hear if you marry one, that feeling of longing and wishing they were near goes away . Hang in there dude, and just be thankful for the time you have to do whatever, whenever without interference. After 11 years of marriage, when I was over seas for a year I REALLY started to miss my wife. My forearms and wrists were killing me by the end of the year. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I went to the school of hard knocks. Quote Link to comment
zerow
Yes, it sucks to have her gone. Just don't go calling her every other minute. You have time to do things like work on the car and call her at the end of the day. Like having your cake and eating it, too... freekwonder - I was overseas for 11 months in Iraq. When I got home, I didn't recognize the place. I missed the heck out of her, and she used the time away to set up the house (Read: the way she wanted it...) The love was still there, though. Bonvo, my man, take it from someone who has been there, done that. She still loves you, and college is a way to get ahead in this world. Quote Link to comment

JoeinCa
Only 2.5 hours away? I met my girlfriend while i was going to school for Mercedes in Rancho Cucamonga, then i got a job offer in San Francisco... She came to see me like once or twice a month, from Hemet, to SF, 7.5 hours... She couldn't get enough of my "skill" apparently. Then she found a job in the bay area and moved up there... 2.5 hours away is nothing. You know what to do if you want her as bad as my woman wanted me. Joe Quote Link to comment

Luckily my wife didn't change much while I was gone. 12 months over seas is ruff. Oh yeah, luckily I pitched hited every now and then to keep the arms symmetrical. Quote Link to comment
