az_rat210
1 that gets good gas mileage A motor that doesn't need work a motor that if it needs work is not so complicated I cannot do it myself. a motor that has the sufficient power response when I need it a motor that are gets good improvements from bolt on parts. :D:D Quote Link to comment
MAG58
Well it was DOHC, it just eluded the happy "D" from it's Nissan code. I Think my list is the way it is, intentionally leaving out the "Mad JDM yo" group of engines because I really feel they're not that "special" that is, there is nothing they can do that other engines of their class cant, and more to the point, over shadowing much more inteligent designs (the UZ, FJ, VH, and a few others come to mind). I feel that personally each of my motors have added something to their class (even the non hemi hemi, have you seen that head flow?) and as such begin to add to the populous of fantastic engines and engine design. ...Ok so I'm really weird. And I was going to say 4 rotor but he did say production motors only. The offy would be up there too. Quote Link to comment

That is why I always thought that they were single cam. Edited September 9, 2009 by BACARDI_DWB Quote Link to comment

72240z
And I was going to say 4 rotor but he did say production motors only. The offy would be up there too. Well that depends how tech we're being lol. Prototype to me is one maybe two, quite a few were put together by mazda for their racing program and companies today are building and selling them right out. The Ferrari is iffy too if being strict, and race motors are out, then Colombo series is out too because it was prior to Ferrari differentiating between the cars they raced and sold. At least I believe so anyway, while that 1.5-3.0liter was in use all the cars were racers also sold to some of the public, that's not really "production". I can guarantee more 4 rotors have been built then all Columbos combined lol. It's all moot anyway I'd break the rules 1000 times to have both of them on my list :fu:  Even manufacturers feel the same. You think ANY of them are pumping out enough cars to follow homologation rules? Hell no lol Quote Link to comment
