bart taylor
just picked up a 68 pickup for 400 bones, cleaned it up and got it running after 10 years of sitting, its old, its ugly and its awesome purrs like a kitten and stops on a dime now plan is to static drop for now and bag later, possible IRS with some camber lovin. some crappy cell pics to stir the pot... as it sat when i bought it... after some beers and old NY license plate and some driveway time started building a 72 years and years ago but life (aka woman/marriage threw a wrench in that one) http://www.streetsource.com/Profile.aspx?Profileid=16772 Quote Link to comment

bart taylor
lil more update, finally got around to playing with it some more dropped it and experimented with a door logo, I own a vinyl cutter so why not eh. picked up some blazer rallyes, need to strip em and paint em but threw some color on em to see how I liked it. I think it will work Debating on going with some smaller mirrors, possibly fender mount..... Quote Link to comment
wayno
Take your time, don't rush it, no good can come from being in a hurry.   Early 68, I like it. If you lose the canopy, I would lose the mirrors also. Nice truck, Welcome Quote Link to comment
bart taylor
how it looks today, got the steelies mounted and so happy with it, been driving it to work all week Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
I love the look of it with the topper and truck mirrors, fender mounts would look ok with out the topper Quote Link to comment
Unclejesse88
This is where I would stop with the exterior of the truck. Start working on the engine, interior, love shack in the back, whatever. The outside looks awesome right now Quote Link to comment
bart taylor
a few more pics, way happy with the truck as it sits now Quote Link to comment
DatDoug
Very, Very, Very Cool! Love the ralleys & the big mirrors that I usually hate with a passion actually look cool with the topper. Like you said the exterior is perfect  Quote Link to comment
copydat
mmmm those rims! can someone give me a lead on a set to get to Australia? Chevy Rallies? Would like to know all dimensions so I can go on the online hunt.... Oh - sick truck man! :) Quote Link to comment
bart taylor
made a new hood emblem tonight Quote Link to comment
copydat
sick! But seriously what series are those Blazer rims? I really really wanna get a set on my 620. I think it is that tyre profile that sets that deep dish off. Something about them man - I'm hooked :D If you could pm me the specs that would be great! Quote Link to comment
bart taylor
they are K5 chevy full size 4wheel drive blazer rallye wheels, pre 87 has a bigger hub bore but the shape of the wheels makes it so the hubcenter doesn't really engage. as far as specs, not really sure as I didn't measure them. I am sure google can provide, just search "blazer rallye wheels" as they are commonly referred to. This is what they look like with caps and beauty rings Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
that almost looks like my 67, because it has flared fenders, but its fenders come to a point in the front right above the headlights, super clean truck man, love it, engine bay is almost flawless\!!! :w00t: great find Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I love the stance of your truck. Did you use 4" blocks? I'm not a fan of the mirrors or topper, but you're making it work. Truck looks awesome. Quote Link to comment
WAGON JON
Your engine bay is awesome! Quote Link to comment
bart taylor
3" blocks with a couple leafs removed. the engine bay was surprisingly clean when I bought it, just did a lil cleaning. I just wish the original owner had left the rest of it the pale green color Quote Link to comment

Your truck has the look though. Hot! Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
i dont know how i missed this... im in love with this thing! the camper is the best! im wondering if its just the 520 that has the skinny track width that makes those rallies fit so well. i wouldnt mind runnig a set on my 620...
