jovial_cynic
Just pinned down an exhaust manifold leak. I'm pretty sure that's been the source of the exhaust/gas odor that's always billowed into the cabin. ha. Did the old soapy water trick and saw it bubbling at the manifold/head surface. Pro-tip: do the soapy water trick when the engine is cold. If it's hot, the exhaust manifold is simply going to boil the soapy water, so you're not going to be able to tell as definitively that you have a leak there. Looks like I'll be taking off the header and getting it surfaced. While the manifolds are off, this might be a good time to start my EFI project... Quote Link to comment
Trophy24
:lol:Cleaned all the crap out of my project car and sorted it out for when I will need it during the build. Up in the attic! I actually have room to work on it now! Quote Link to comment
hUmBoLdT_HooV
Took my steering wheel all apart and painted it, got tired of looking at peeling old "silver" paint. Before After Its different, but i like it, that pink was just laying around on the paint shelf in the shop, have no clue were it came from. It'll make people go "what the fuck" and thats why i did it. Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Installed my orange needle tack and trip meter gauge .. You need the later speedo... But then I noticed your trip odometer... This one I painted, but notice the ring on it? Quote Link to comment
Docsis510
Yeah I see the ring.... What year 510 has the ring? My 510 is a 70 and had a white needle cluster with no ring... The tach came off a 72 4dr. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I believe they started the ring in 71 as well as the orange needle. I think 70 is the only year with white needle/no ring. Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Late 71 I believe That could be true. My wagon was made 12/70, and came with an extra speedometer cluster with the white needles. So that could be. I painted my needles red, on the white background. Quote Link to comment

71DIMER
Thanks, I used Dupli-color Vinyl and Fabric spray That's what I used on my seats and it worked great. I cleaned the vinyl up really well, then used some of those alcohol pads to do a final wipe down of it. Let it completely dry and sprayed them. That stuff does stink but I assume that's from the solvents in it. It doesn't stink after it dries! :) Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I used this, but Flat black instead... On this: Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Oops, well my car had blue interior, I found that rear seat at a JY with no tears and good cushion. Got it for $40. Both top and bottom. Also got a rear bumper for $25 at the same time. Quote Link to comment
