i use hole punchers also. get the mr gasket sheet and reuse the same gasket that you make on and on. good thick material. i have a pile of gaskets i use as templates.

our ratsun friend paul (71-521) also died from stomach cancer. i had met him a few times he was a cool kat. te engine i rock in my dd 71 521 i bought from him. when i heard dio had stomach cancer i was like oh shit. i heard that rumor shit last night on kisw's metal shop and i knew it wouldn't be long. i put all of his ebay autographs on my watch list and today they were all bought up except 2. if i'd had money in my paypal last night i would have bought one.

maybe half that price. i mean it's sure as hell ugly but is there another one with fewer miles on it. would a zero mile b210 bring in that? i know from recent history if it was a 521 it be about right for that price. maybe his vin code says it was the first one made. it will surly outlast most shit made in the last 20 years especially my wifes high maintenance jetta's. i wouldn't call it junk. i bet the under carriage and interior is clean as hell. didn't jesse james or someone buy a b210 honeybee for a few grand on one of his shows?

my L16 rolls 70mph @ 4000rpm's, 80mph @ 4600rpm it doesn't go much faster than that. dont forget to check those brake hoses. they're probably pretty cracked. also a very good idea to clean and repack those wheel bearings. btw the inners are no longer available. then there's the king pins. i did mine recently. if you can buy the king pin set on ebay. they're the cheapest and japanese brands.

if you dont mind shipping performance radiator in tacoma is the shit. i had my 521 recored years ago by them. they also used to do gas tank work. dont know if they still do. they welded up my 65 dart gas tank when nobody else would.

i used rubber cement with a paper towel backing. lasted for a couple years.

cool a local 521 owner thats in my area. welcome aboard. i drive my 71 521 as a daily driver and get it around 70 to 80mph from tacoma to fife depending on the traffic. 50 sounds a little slow. hit me up some time i'd like to see your truck. i have a few spare parts too. the first 2 things you may want to find is a 32/36 weber and a electronic distributor (dizzy). peace.
