My trans was like that. But it was not that much broken of... The guy added a bronze donut in the center and filler it in. Then I took tig and I filled it in from the inside. Then I grinder it down smooth. You have to take off the tail housing to do it no matter what. remove the bolts from the center of the transmission, and the all the sensors and the shifter return spring. Then it comes out. Easy... Trust...

I dont think its too much. Try finding a running car for under 1k... Plus these engine are bullet proof. I would change the timing belt to be on the safe side if you do get it.

If you use a l18 exhaust its going to hit either the oil pan or transmission depending on how short the flange is cut. The reason is that the l18 exhaust is built for a shorter engine. If your using the stock l20 stuff then I don't know... You seem more smart than me anyways... :) Oh and thanks dead monkey for that exploded view of the weber. After waiting and waiting for the vacuum advance I just told nissan to give me my money back. Its in "back order" and its never ever going to come in. SO! I went to shop around and Pronto Auto parts had a reman distributor for 130 with tax. The only thing it does not have is the module. Its coming in on Friday. Maybe by Sunday I will have her running again.

I have been broke and my truck acting stupid... I bought a new junkyard timing marker and pulley. I also got a new vacuum advance for the distributor. But that has not arrived yet. The only thing I have done is this. its a valance Ben gave me and I modified. Its still needs some body work. But this valance is for the chin spoiler I got. Let see what else will happen in the future... I am also thinking of raising it back up!
