The pictures i posted are more than a 2 inch drop more like 3" , the collars you see at the bottom are actually resting on the brakeline flange/bracket that is welded to strut and one coil cut out.,, I think you could drop the back 3" if you use 2 inch blocks and take out the smallest leaf ,,it`s about a foot long...We dropped the back about 3" but he started talking about hauling fat ass friends around ( JRocks little buddy Mitchell..lol )and so we put leaf back in and just went with 2" blocks only. To keep the redneck squat to a minimum.

How far down are you going ?? If you notice the springs on a 78-79 are smaller in diameter than earlier cars and if you dont go wild on the off set the spring perches will go down beside tire ..On my sons the tires in the front are 14 X 7 minilites with 185x60x14 tires and the perch doesn`t hit tire. Best i could do picture wise from awhile ago..Since car is only home to eat and sleep ..now.

It actually sounds like two different problems..check to see if there is voltage on both sides of the resistor block that goes to the coil when the key is on and not in the start position. The dodges i had seemed to have that problem of resistor going bad alot ,,,enough so i usually kept a spare in the glove box. .. You will probably need to install the rebuilt starter first because the ignition might be hooked " all in there " somehow.The starter sounded like it was on the way out before car stopped running right...Maybe use vice grips to squeeze the battery clamp instead of bolts so you can whip it off faster, in case of the off chance it is in your switch Take into account these are complete guesses... :D

I doubt it... it`s probably just the solenoid , got funkied up in there and couldn`t back out and the amps a starter draws is huge enough to cook any cable.. Car looks better in the video than your pictures, would it kill a guy to take a running walk around of the beast.. ?

Those old Dodges and Chevys were full time, all the time, so the transfer cases had to have worked like an AWD..

I think i used to own the Chevy van with the wing on top... :lol: ... You know with a bit of clean-up and rework to get tail down a bit that purple turd could be real cool ...And that`s coming from a true Chevy hater..I think the paint is the main problem, if it was any color but that..

The yellow one still runs doesn`t it?? I could swear it`s the one Joe rolled up in when he came over a few months ago but it was really, really cold and rainy that day..( even for north western Washington ) . But it seemed to run like a top at the time.
