No they are really thin headed type and one side is ground off of both ,, so it will pass the other going in if ground sides face each other ..But they seem to be stainless so the wrench held them pretty tight. There`s no possible way you could get them both in if the were any longer or head was bigger. Hex headed with like one side wider and beveled ,,,if that makes since....you can kinda see what imma saying in the first new shifter pic on the left..

So my son will never update this without some child abuse going on all up in here soooo, i will keep post whoring if for no other reason but to document what the pictures are in the future.....I had him buy a short shifter from the wanted section here for a little more than half price of new one ,, and he installed this evening, while i took pictures. ....The shifter was in almost brand new condition so went together with just the addition of new shifter bushings that were old and had dissolved over time.. shift pattern is now about 2 inches total throw from 1st to 2nd gears OLD shifter NEW shifter Actual work being done Installed shifter fit real good. 1st gear 2nd gear ,,,,,,,,,,about 2 inches total

A header may be hotter,, prone to leaking,, and going to rust away but ,, that thinner metal sure makes a beautiful sound ... That part you pictured is a very hard part to come by anymore so even if your not gonna use it forever.. if kept in good shape can be sold for real money down the road..

Von uses one and it saves a lot on paint ,, it uses way less than normal gun. he paid 1500 for his used...If you still have his number or know someone that has it he could tell you all you ever wanted to know.. the part about no runs isn`t complete hogwash though

The good thing about organics and semi metallics is if you stay on top if them ----the pads wear and your rotors dont--- which is way cheaper in the long run,.. ....it is caused by you driving that thing everyday in that damn freeway stop and go traffic , so every car in those conditions end up like yours.. no matter what pads you end up using...Most people on here have other newer cars they cycle in ( well except for the hippie on the bike ) and alot of the ones that dont haven`t washed their car/truck in ....YEARS.. so they dont care..lol

Yeah me and my sons used to watch that show,, corny but fun to watch.. I think the rear end they ended up using for that car was a welded up truck rear end and it seemed to fit inside fenders....It`s hard to find clips from almost all those old Discovery channel shows ,,, they must be really strict about the copy rights crap..

See now if you guys had a Tri-cities meet and greet like you were threatening to do,,, this would have all been hammered out already... just sayin :)

....There was way more room than we took up ,,there was even a couple Zs that showed up late that had no problem finding a space.. If they accepted mine ( and pumpkins the year before ,,lol ) they must not turn anybody down.. I have no idea who the fatty in front of my car was. Aaaaaaaaand,, we just aren`t signing up , A few of us are still planning on going in our Datsuns to support the show... just off to the side a bit.. :)
