Update: Haven't really played a lot with it, but I know a few things that need to be dealt with. I've gotta get an air cleaner on this things and get the gas tank mounted. I've finally decided to mount the tank, I'm making two rails out of 1/4 inch thick 1 inch wide/tall angled steel and I'm taking some big 2 inch stainless U-bolts to mount it to the rear frame rails. She's been running good other then when cold. Not a biggie. I'm going electronic ignition one of these days, so it's not TOO big of a deal. For now, I'm just cleaning up everything I have and removing all the un-necessary little things under the hood.

How does the clutch feel? Any better?

If you don't have to apply for emissions, why not get rid of all the vacuum other then the brake booster and Vac advance?

I opened my slave up and pumped the res empty. Flushed with new fluid until clear. Fluid is CHEAP. Don't skimp on the flushing and bleeding.

Saw a white 620 hauling a load up around here with monkeygirl. He was staring me down from across the intersection. Gave it a loud L20 salute driving by.

I had the EXACT same symptoms when I was having sediment from the tank work it's way past the filter into the float bowl of my Weber. I gradually would loose more and more power under any load until eventually, the truck was missfiring and refused to move. If you have a Weber, cleaning the carb is as easy as 6 screws and a C-clip on the choke arm. You can generally get away with using the old gasket, but I would prefer to throw in a new one at the same time. If you have the stock carb, good luck! I hate those little buggers. While you're at it, might as well do a good tune up.

took her for a longggg sprint tonight. Don't know why, but she had a MASSIVE top end tonight. It's been bouncing around lately, sometimes lacking a little power. I've had the carb apart a dozen times now, so I think it may be time to finally swap in my electronic dizzy Got a quick video clip of me trying her out. You can hear it spin through second before the tires finally grab. Third had a little chirp.
