  1. If you want to triple check, run by your local autozone and have them do a 'system test' on it. While your there, pick up a new voltage regulator. I think they were $20-30? DON'T BUY TRUGRADE brand if you do buy from Autozone. They are garbage.
  2. Voltage regulator. Testing it is a no brainer. You've already done it. 16V at idle is WAY too much. Replace before driving or you'll ruin your battery.
  3. Keep in mind, batteries have changed a lot from when you guys bought them 8-11 years ago. Stuffs not made to last anymore. I replaced 4 interstate batteries today at work in the 8 hours I was there. We had done 7 total. (not to say they're bad batteries, just something to consider)
  4. Actually, for your truck I THINKG (double check because I'm not 100%) you'll see a benefit out of one of Autozone's Duralast Marine 27 series batteries. Has a superb rating, and I've only ever warrantied ONE out. Fail.... nvm, your truck is sidepost 78 series isn't it?
  5. It's a conspiracy Charlie, I'm gonna reply back to your PM as soon as I get a chance. I won't have room for a passenger since I'll have monkeygirl with me, but I bet I can find you a ride in a MUCH nicer vehicle lol
  6. Absolutely gorgeous!!
  7. For the price, it's a waste. Get an H4 conversion and get some HID's. Best bang for your buck. You'd spend under $200 to do all 4 lights.
  8. Been doing a ton today before I go to work in a few hours. Going through and inspecting all the brakes, since I've been having a funky problem with the parking brake. Sanded all the drums and painted them with engine enamel. So far, the shoes and hardware all look good. Front wheel cyl's look brand new, rears are leaking like a sonovabitch so I'm going to go get some in a few days. Front right wheel was out of adjustment, but so far all others are good. Oics in a bit perhaps?
  9. TTT. Just days away. Over 200+ confirmed on the FB RSVP alone.
  10. Hey man, really sorry to hear about his condition :( I couldn't imagine how hard it must be to have to go through this. Just remember no matter what happens, Ratsun is here for you. You and your family are in my prayers.
  11. Seriously  that's what I'm saying! And yes, he's a member here.
  12. It's an easy job and shouldn't take you more then an hour or two if you're dedicated. Might was well just order a 'head set' from rock auto.

  15. Woke up this morning with a funny feeling. I drove out to snag Josh_T before we went to go see another local's 620 he's working on. I pulled up to his house, and right behind me was a lady that was coming to pick up a bed (or something like that.) We stood around for a few minuets and talked about the 620 since this was the first time he saw it, and I noticed the woman frantically walking circles around his B210 and inspecting it with a glow on her face. We stopped to talk to her and learned a ton.. As it turns out, her father was a Datsun Master Tech in Mississippi, and had recently passed away. Her family has always owned Datsuns until a few years ago when there own B210 was totalled. She told us about a few parts her father left to her that she's bringing back to GA. A few..... lololol.... she corrected herself quickly by mentioning it was more like 9-10,000 parts he had collected. TONS of NOS Nissan parts that was going to require a trailer and a few trips to bring back. She wasn't sure of what she had, but said they were all old parts and wasn't sure exactly what all was there. I said L20B and she was convinced that it sounded familiar and had something for it. The whole time going on about this, she had a tear in here eye and seemed like she was flashing back to the good old days. Long story short, I gave her my number and told her she was welcome to call me anytime and I was willing to do anything to help her go through her parts. She seemed mostly interested in getting rid of them, so I'll be praying it's a gold mine! Anyways, with all that said, here's some oics of Juan and his 620. The dude's got a huge passion....
  16. Thanks for the quick replys guys I do have a small leak, around the rear of the block. i'm assuming worst case scenario is rear main, since the clutch feels slippery and is degrading every day. I'm actually not too concerned since you guys make it seem SO easy (because I'm sure it is) I have to do the clutch already, so I figure at the price of the seal, I'll just replace it while I'm there. It would be dumb not to. Input shaft seal is going to be another ''do while it's out'' job.
  17. DSLR < Datsun. Even though I payed more for my camera then my car.... not the best example lol

Canon is really great. on my DSLR, i can go months without charging, on my moms point and shoot, it lasts a couple weeks with AA. it's pretty good MP wise. My DSLR has 18mp, and its really overkill cause you really can't notice.

  18. This one was. PO blew it up and stuffed a 350 in it. The guy that has it now is returning back to it's correct nature.
  19. Damn I was afraid you were going to say that. I'll have to see how it looks when I pull it, and if necessary, I'll be pulling my first datto motor
  20. Tell more. I R intrigued. I know you've done it before Skib!
