  1. How simple is it to replace a rear main on an L20B while in the truck? My clutch the last few days has gotten rather...... slippery. I suspect I may have some fluids leaking. I know I need to replace the clutch, so I'm not too concerned, but I don't want to ruin a good new clutch. Rear main is cheap, but I've NEVER done one before. Tips?
  2. Silly American V8. Actually a nice car..... It's a Buick Regal GNX.
  3. Wrong answer. No parts store should EVER tell you that they don't know what you can do... the correct answer is ''let me see how I can help you.'' Thats why my Autozone is one of the most profitable in the district.
  4. Wow, I'm shocked! Thats the only time I've ever seen someone completely dissatisfied with Napa to a point that they choose Autozone over it
  5. ^^He said it. I've had problems with Autozone parts before being mis-boxed. I ordered a clutch disk for my 210 back in the day, and when I got it, the box and P/N were correct, but the disk was way off. Had a customer complain yesterday about a starter that he ordered online that he received and found to be a core. Now, not ALL the time is it the distribution center/manufacturers problem. I have seen in my own store someone return a damaged part as un-damaged and send it to the DC, and then get recirculated. I usually keep an eye out for these, because it's not hard to do. Also, there is no such company as ''Duralast.'' All of my Autozone parts are produced by the same brands that you would generally find in any other parts stores or online dealers. The manufacturer list goes from Dorman, Melling, Fenwick, Timken, Cardone, Dayco, Wells, Santech, Remy, Airtex, etc. If anyone has any questions about who manufactures what parts that are re-boxed duralast, I have a whole list in my lap of all our current Manufacturers. Couldn't have said it better myself HRH.
  6. Sounds like a blast man Hope you enjoy it! bumpppp
  7. That poor truck looks so neglected.... please, if you start this project finish it! This one is so capable and ready. Give it the dedication it deserves. Welcome, and congrats on your Datsun.
  8. The A10 cross member would be more for the B310(210) though, not the B210. They used difference crossmembers iirc. I think the B210 was narrower? I did some research on this some time ago.,.. I wish i remember all of it still
  9. NVM got it. The dials were glued on and I just found out that they came off. Un-screwed the little nuts that hold it all together and viola.
  10. Probably a total noob question, but for the sake of not breaking anything I'll ask: Is there any trick pulling these radios? My front bezel already has a crack on it, and I really don't want to separate it into two pieces. I know some older radios were screwed in behind the front of the radio bezel that had to be removed, and some had clips on the back that had to be squeezed to remove it. not sure if this is either and I REALLY don't want to fuck anything up. Any tips would be appreciated. And Yes, i did search first.

  18. I thought I'd share, since it's Datto related and total bullshit Went to register the 620 at the local tag office today. Went with bill of sale, title, and insurance card in hand. Girl at the counter asked me to fill in a few spots and one in particular was date of purchase. No biggie right? Well my derp self put in a 10 as the day instead of the 12th, and had to scribble the 0 into a 2 (no biggie right?) Then she informed be because of that there was a $10 alteration fee. And no I'm not kidding. Her supervisor was breathing down her throat expecting me to go ape shit over it. Normally, I would have probably made a big deal, but since it was my fault and since the tag office is also the local police station, I just payed it. But seriously.... the City is charging alteration fees on it now? WTF. Bunch of broke high way robbers..... Girl at the counter mentioned it was put into effect in June of this year. When I registered the 210 two years ago, it cost me $22 to register it as an antique, including tax's. A year later I go to register it and they want to charge $65 to get an antique plate (costs more then the registration alone!) And now the broke corrupt money filthy government has found another way to sucker another $10 out of my wallet. Of course, i should have known better then to be in a hurry to get out the door and fuck something up, but still.....

  22. What brand thermostat did you use? I noticed the same difference in my L20B. The difference was phenomenal! I prefer OEM Nissan thermostats. Only around $20 taxed.
