  1. Is it really necessary to run a fuel return line on my L20B with my fuel cell? I wanna get off my lazy ass and mount my cell today so i can top it off while gas is $2.99, but haven't yet worked out how necessary a fuel return is going to be.
  2. ^^Yup, that's exactly what I figured someone was gonna say :P I figure with as much oil I see in the crankcase vent, I would see even a tiny bit of smoke or evidence of it. I don't have ANY smoke at all. Not in the cold, or anything. No carbon in the tailpipe, the truck just runs perfect.
  3. Forgot to mention above, I already replaced it :( I was hoping that would be a good solution.
  4. Looked at a Datsun for monkeygirl today. She really liked it!

fyi... its much better to find a reliable car than a cool car or you will be fixing it all the time instead of working on your own projects lol. if its cool and reliable then you are really well off.

It seems to be really tough and loved, so I'll find out when I talk with the owners. :P Hopefully I can call it reliable.

  5. I've noticed ever since I got my truck that I've had a little seepage from the valve cover vent. HRH's recent thread reminded me about this. It's been more or less minimal, but I decided to put a breather filter on instead of routing it back to in filter. (Don't need to blow oil into the carb.) I drive it very easy and usually piss people off. No one really expects to see a straight-piped Datsun pull in front of them and go slow. lol Yesterday I noticed that my breather filter has literally started to seep oil down the valve cover from the amount of oil collecting. It has plenty of power, doesn't blow smoke at all! I'm a little concerned that this may be a sign of problems yet to come. The trucks been well maintained. It's been owned by Ratsun members for several years and I was told had a fresh top end rebuild about 7K miles ago (rough estimate) and looks to be in great health. I haven't done a compression test yet, but sheer curiosity has me to that point. I'll be doing on in the next few days.
  6. lolol^^^^^ I was doing brake work. Got new shit all around the rear. New shocks too. The old rear passenger shock was so blown out that I could collapse it by hand and it wouldn't come back out  so much better now! Anyways, thanks to Hitch, I now have a long tube header! Gonna ditch the straight pipe and go with a Summit Racing resonator. Maybe a glass pack on top depending on the volume.
  7. I wouldn't mind having one. A rough price would be nice.
  8. I have a longtube header for the 620. Thanks Hitch!!

  10. @ Road Atlanta over the weekend.
  11. Been looking around youtube now that the seasons long over... the soundtrack is EPIC. If you want a summary of this season, you can find it below.
  12. Brake booster. You step on the brakes and the open the rubber diphraghm in the booster. Cracks or holes in the booster cause a vacuum leak. Pedal gets stiff, engine starts to run rough. Put the car in neutral, hold your foot on the brakes, and rev it slightly. You'll probably notice a misfire.
  13. Really? Works good on sealed beam headlight bulbs?
  14. For sure man. I had no clue that part was still available. Guess I'm going to rock auto for pictures next time Thanks again man
  15. What???????? Looking now... Returning with reps! EDIT: +1! Thanks dude. I didn't even bother looking before. Just ordered a cheap wheel cyl with 2 day shipping. Thanks!
  16. Does the 521 use the same housing as the 620? I more need that then anything, since mine are kinda trashed with E-Z outs stuck in the bleed screw.
  17. EDIT: NVM Yello620 saved the day and I got my parts coming! Mods can delete/lock.
  18. does anyone have the thread pitch of the bleed screw? Also, will the 521 piece work?
