Thats what the 510 was originally called... though that specific Coupe is worth more than most 2002s right now. $40k isnt cheap.

Mr.K had pushed that the new 510 have a 1.6 liter OHC engine so that it could compete head to head with the BMW 1600 sedan... which he thought was a great car.  The 2002tcars actually came out shortly after the 510, so it should be referred to as "the expensive german 510".

 

if you look at the 410-510 development line vs the BMW 1500 to 2002tti, nobody was copying anyone... they are so closely lined up that it would've been impossible to get production cars developed and out to market in such close comparative order

For sure. I'd pay $3500 for that at most if it ran perfect. It's a 2dr with some decent wheels (if you like Advans) so its a good car. Just not $6k good.
