Jester: I'm on the corner of 99w and Suver road, big blue buildings, the company is called Agriweld, Inc.

Mark: Yes, I'm going to do something similiar to my frame, it has to be notched for the bags and for the lca's. I'm actually going to section that part of the frame out and build a new piece out of tubing with new upper/lower arm mounts and the notch for the steering link.

LeDevil: It should get at least 3" more drop once the fender wells are out.

Well I'v located all the new parts for the disc brake upgrade!

2" drop spindles, ball joints, rotors, calipers, pads, wheel bearings, etc.

It's all new 97 Hardbody stuff.

I did have a line on a rear-ended Frontier but the dude ended up buying it fron the insurance company:mad: But the stuff is really close to the same. I was hoping for Fronteir's dual piston front discs....

ah well.

The only thing I need to complete the order is the actual wheel hub assembly for boths L+R. I looked on line for hours till i finally called an auto parts place... to be told it was a dealer or junk yard item?

sheeit, that sux.

So I call the Nissan dealer just for shits and giggles and they say (drum roll) $168.00 each bare ,without the bearings.:fu:

I might have to just eat shit on this one?

I could most likely find used parts, but at this point, it would suck if the bearings just didnt fit right (loose)cross threaded studs... or what ever?

We'll see?

If any of you know where I can side-step the dealer please let me know.

I could probably find a whole hardbody truck for $300.00?:D

Why don't you just get them(hubs) from the bone yard? They are the same from '78 on... Plentiful and can't cost much. Just install new bearing races. That is pretty easy with hand tools.

Have you called a wrecking yard yet? There has to be what you need at the yard.

no, that'll be tomarrow's mission:D

Be careful which hubs you get. I would make sure that you use ones from a hardbody truck. People are saying that they are the same, but they do not share the same part number from nissan, there is a reason for that i am sure. I do know that there is differences in the grease seals, and dust sheilds. Pretty much an early and late design. Seals must be ordered to match the dust shields or the seal will bind on the shield.

You say that you want DUAL PISTON calipers. This is still a very simple bolt on with your hardbody spindles. You just need to order parts for a 2wd hardbody truck that had a V6 factory. These truck had the dual piston calipers. They also got a larger diameter rotor. Hubs, grease seals, dust shields, spindles i believe are all the same 4cyl or V6 hardbody.

I have converted two trucks this way now, all the difference in the world for stopping power. 76 620 and a 80 720.

Well, here's what we started the day with:

Tried to make room for the 26" diameter tires, testing with my wheels (24") which are closer to the 18's that are actually gonna reside on the front of this mutha.

More scrap!

The tires hit the firewall, but it still doesn't lay out yet, I'll wait until I get the actual wheels/tires before I start cutting into the firewall.

I agree with Yello620 on this one. The bearings and seals are the same from the 620 disc all the way into the 2000+ model year.....but I'm pretty sure there's a slight difference in the hubs because the rotor changed during the 720 model. It went to a thicker, vented rotor and I think the mounting surface for the rotor moved on the hub a bit. If you're creating new brackets, it's not a problem, but since you're doing a stock type bolt up on the spindles, better safe than sorry. I think I actually posted pics of the differnce on one of the discs threads. Not sure and no time to look it up. ....okay...I ran through nwde's thread...didn't see them...so either on one of the other threads or on ratsun.
