I could blame it on Fish and Game mismanaging (because they do) or  the wolves killing off the herds (because they are) both are problems, but the biggest problem that is and has been the biggest problem, more people, more people destroying habitat with their homes, more people in the forest, more people applying for the draw and hunting...people suck.

Usually when someone rants about the destruction of habitat, traffic pollution, overdevelopement they decide to change the subject. I have had people rant then in the next breathe say they are just so happy their kids have given them 12 beautiful grandchildren so far. Real mathematicians there!

Worked land surveying. Owner in the woods complaining about someone moving nearby and buying and building their own holding. I said "just like you did" it didn't go over well.

 

frankendat: yeah, I don't like people much either and could do without most of them. Have eight grand kids so not helping much. Just want another 20 years of quiet.

I don't live in Vancouver but I do live ON Vancouver Island about 140Km away as the bird flies or hour and forty min ferry ride and at least another hour by road.

 

 

Isn't there a Little Havana in Florida where Cubans more or less invaded the state? What about all the millions of Mexicans 'invading' from the south? Little Italy? Little Moscow? Places where American English isn't spoken and American culture is 'kicked to the curb'.

Pretty obvious this is a political thread, and No One baited you into posting your beliefs about Canada here. Questioning Mike's ethics? You chose to continue debating with him to defend your opinion, so game on. I've visited Canada many times since the 60s and in my experience I've never felt unwelcome there. I can't say the same for when I lived in small Texas town for a few months back in the early 80s, and I'm an American. I was 18 then and I understood that shit stick culture didn't represent the whole.

You are correct, I was not baited into posting, "Truthfully", how I was treated when I lived up there.

I thought Trump was going to have Mexico pay for the wall? Republicans talk about reducing spending but line right up with the Dems when it comes to raising the dept ceiling. There is zero accountability from either party. Both just spend us into oblivion.
