rosso
Thanks Rob, so far I am loving it. I am confident enough to use the car as a second daily driver when needed. Still needs a few minor tweaks. 1 Quote Link to comment
rosso
Bits and bobs being done - passenger wiper arm and new blade installed, trans fluid changed, new backup light switch installed and now I have backup lights. Washed the car and clay barred the hood. Can't do too much since two weeks ago I tripped over my own feet and fell and cracked three ribs. I'm on light duty. 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment
rosso
(Need screw sizes for the) Resprayed the metal defroster vent covers. I sprayed a very light coat of Matte Black rust preventative paint so the texture of the panels was not lost and I did not sand out the rust since that would have ruined the texture also. We'll see how long it lasts. When I had the windshield replaced the installer took out one half of these and I took out the other. He lost the screws for the upper piece in the photo (3 or 4 screws). Anyone know what size these are? carpartsmanuals.com shows part #08510-71210 and superceded by 08510-71212 but does not list any size - both unavailable. I have a '72 wagon. The 5 screws I do have for the driver's side (bottom piece in photo) are two different ones. 1 Quote Link to comment

Duncan
Aren't there metal tabs under there for a flat nut to go onto? I seem to recall that, but I could be mistaken.. Quote Link to comment
rosso
My '72 wagon has plastic inserts or metal clips that the pan head tapping screws go into. No nuts. Edited November 10, 2021 by rosso Quote Link to comment
