G-Duax
I watched a little. Yes, just as I guessed, I was disappointed. Typical Hollywood auto show. Guy welding the fenders sticking the tungsten into the weld puddle, then blames the thin Japanese fenders. Other moron putting 'space shuttle' heat barrier on the heat shield below the carbs, even though it was not anything used by NASA. The crap Summit, Jeg's, and others sell has no gold foil on it, just a yellow tinted mylar over the aluminum. Trust me, you can't afford the real gold heat reflective stuff. Got to the part where one of the bozos was trying to weld the cam cover, and the coolant hose on his Tig started leaking. A couple of clowns.... I see better stuff on Forums. The show is a waste of time. 3 Quote Link to comment
Dolomite
I didn’t even get to the giving a rats ass part. Those shows are nearly all the same, dipshits acting like they’re doing work that the behind the scenes crew actually did. 2 Quote Link to comment
Fetch
I watched the last 1/2 hour JDML and was not excited. I also caught part of Goblin Works. They rebuilt a 280Z with the wide body plastic fenders. Then they painted it the blue and orange Gulf Porsche Le Mons color scheme, it was absolutely horrible. I turned off the tv and went back to work on my '64 roadster. 2 Quote Link to comment

Jesse C.
And also, as I had to point out on another board, most cars on the show are actually USDM and not true JDM. Only JDM parts get used in some cases and that does not make it a JDM car, but a JDM Style car. Just like flares don't make it a widebody. As for the show, I really don't give a fuck who the buyers are and I really don't care to see that aspect of the show, just show us the cars and what you are doing to them. Some history on the type and or the parts. Don't really give a shit about reveals and the like. P.S. I still don't think this thread belongs in Events and the mods should move it 3 Quote Link to comment
